Good Evening Eagle Buds. Been checking the nest today and read that it was MT in AM! Then Bro returned and looks like both babies are tucked in til AM.
Lynne, I assume you talking about raccoons at your place? I'm sure they must be responsible for the hummer feeders always being MT in the morning! I don't think squirrels could drink that much & there aren't that many hummers yet!!!
Loretta I think LYNNE is talking of the racoon on the snowman cam it is with a young one.
Yoga Practice was great except for the time I fell as I was on my side lifted off the floor and only touching with the side of a foot and the palm of a hand...I heard this very loud FINISHED and I said finished you said and fell out of the pose!!! Now I understand it is SANDI'S fault as she yelled out finished!!! LOL!!! OH I SEE!!! I actually had to do the pose I described five times on each side which made it ten times and we held it for a minute!!! I tell you a minute is a looooooong time!!!
Fox is back opn tonight I read...
We are having a storm, trees are shaking in the wind and there is rain coming down...
Thanks JO. Yes my hair seems lighter to meI took off two inches today and I still have a pretty long braid and I am practicing putting it to the side so I would not use my metal clip for airport security. All other clips do not hold as my hair is so thick!!!LOL!!!
Missing MARGY.
Very happy to read LYNNE's posts and I am so sorry you were not feeling well but glad back is better.
Good Evening, Gang, It's been a busy day here again. Was pleasantly surprised to see a Robin on Sis-in-law's front lawn this morning! He was early, and he got the worm! Have seen brush rabbits running around, too. Unfortunately, there was an ant invasion in the kitchen, and they were just everywhere! They even got into a Tupperware-like container with the bulldog's kibble in it. Used really hot water to kill as many as I could, and will spray outside in the morning to slow them down a bit.
Sandi, FINISHED?! YAY!!!! I hear you! Congratulations!
Boy, these juvies of ours are very different from the others, for sure! Have they actually fledged, or are they just branching? I'm not certain.
Shirley, gosh, that's upsetting that you're having such trouble getting George's meds! I've been tempted to order some of my meds for mail delivery, but I'm afraid that's what will happen to me! Guess I'll keep journeying to the pharmacy. Prayers for a quick resolution for you! How is George doing, by the way? Better, I hope.
Good to see Megan here! Hope your place has dried out some after the huge amount of rain you got. I have a question for you--I'm seeing aphids on a few plants, but don't want to use toxic bug spray because of all the birds and bees in my yard. Can't remember how to mix a soap-and-water spray. What proportions do you need to use?
Forgot to mention that the Black-crowned Night Herons in our trees are in full nesting mode. Sounds like a Pterodactyl convention out there! Must make careful daily trips around the yard to pick up dead mackerel and crab claws! Also need to use the jet spray on the hose to wash away huge amounts of bird poop on the patio, patio table & chairs, walkways, sidewalk, porch, and driveway! Only do that once a week to conserve water, but yikes, what a mess! Needless to say, if you go out in the yard, it's best to carry (and use) an umbrella!LOL
Well, thinking of shutting down for the night here. Been on the computer working a lot today, and the old eyes don't want to focus any more! Have said prayers for everyone, and every creature. The porch light is on, and both security systems are enabled. Sleep well, everyone. God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you so much! ♥♥Lynn♥♥ ♥♥Carolyn and Christie♥♥ I ♥ us!
Getting on to say good night. It has been a fun afternoon with Jacob and Laurel. Tomorrow they are going to a water park that is very close...a Jellystone RV park and Pirates Cove that is minutes from our house. It opened just last fall.
Lynne, George takes Propulsid (Cisapride). He is the only pet in the vet's practice taking this medication and they are not getting it anymore, so they hooked me up with this company that sends it to me. I have only being using this service for a few months. (George has taken this medication for years.)
They said that I could probably get a local pharmacy to compound it for me. I may have to check into that.
The other option is to have his large intestine surgically removed. Very expensive and possibly fatal for him.
He has already had his penis removed because of urinary problems.
I elected several years ago not to put him through this other surgery, so I give him Propulsid twice a day as well as a stool softener. Missing some doses may cause problems for him, so I am not happy.
Eaglet has tried twice to land on the big trunk at 6 just below the cam. he gets up there, but can;t get his balance and drops back into the nest. Now the other eaglet just dropped down from the stump, so both are in the nest.
Have been filling hummer feeders - now I see a wing tip from the stump and no one in the nest. maybe Missy is soaring in the wild blue yonder and Bro is on the stump?
Boy, is it chilly outside this AM!! Only in the 50s and cloudy!
Yesterday, I saw 2 purple finches sitting on the hummer feeder trying to get nectar! That was a first for me! Their beaks aren't exactly hummingbird-like!!
Good morning my eagle budlets. Today is my Friday. I am heading north around 2 p.m. with a slight detour in Princeton to get my nails done! WEDDING MODE HERE I COME!

Many of you know that I am in remission, having had malignant papillary cancer nearly 15 years ago (at age 25!) which had spread through my lymph nodes. It was technically classified as terminal, but through a lucky twist of Fate, I'm still here. Three months ago, during a followup ultrasound after having a breast cyst removed, it was discovered that I had some nodules appearing in my neck. Since then, those two have grown and two more have appeared. My surgeon is now concerned that the cancer may have returned; I was actually warned years ago that it could come back at anytime, and I have yearly tests done to follow that. On June 6th I will be having one of the nodules removed and tested to see if it is benign or malignant. Anyone who has had cancer will tell you that you become paranoid about it, even if your conscious, logical mind tells you not to worry. What I need from my family and friends is positive thoughts that I don't have cancer again. Thanks in advance for all of your help....
I am going to call the vet today and see if we can find a local pharmacy that can take care of things today. If George gets plugged up, he will end up in the kitty hospital.
I have no problem telling the mail-order people that I have made other arrangements. They had me on hold forever yesterday.
Probably because I wasn't the only one with issues. When you are sending out medications, you really cannot afford to mess up.
June 4, 2012 Both eaglets have finally experienced freedom. The first eaglet fledged from the nest on Friday June 1, and the second, just at around 7:00 this morning, June 4. We have not seen much feeding activity from the parents in the last week. Could this be a sign that they are helping "push" their young from the nest? Even though both chicks are now flying, they will typically stay with their parents for another month. They have started taking short flights while their primary feathers begin to grow in, and their parents will continue to provide all of their food. However, they must learn how to hunt, and will only have the rest of this summer to learn. It has been another very successful summer, with two eaglets now fledged, and abundant food throughout the season.
Juvie flies in from the 4 position - quite nicely I might add - and engages Belle. Belle backs away and the Juvie starts to eat. Not sure which one this is, but I think it might be MISSY.
We came home yesterday from shopping to find the feeders on the back deck GONE!! The Shepherds hooks were bent into S hooks and nothing was hanging on them!
We found a couple feeders broken in the yard, but some have yet to be found.
About an hour later the sensor light in the back yard came on while we were eating dinner. Dennis walked outside to see, since we didn't see anything from the windows and as he was walking back to the door, the BEAR was coming toward him!!
Dennis growled and yelled and the BEAR started running toward the rock wall and woods in the way back of the property.
This bear was different from one that has come the last couple years. He had the most beautiful shiny black coat that just glistened as he ran. Not that I wanted him to hang around, but he had a gorgeous coat!!
I can't say for sure, but that just looks like BRO in the nest to me. His mannerisms, the way he ate, the way he toppled into the nest, and the way he looks right now.
Maybe Shep or Belle is in the attic watching?
Also, when he spread out his wings, his back was darker. I think Missy's back has a lot more white in it.
And this one looks to be calling. Bro is the more vocal of the two.
♪♫♪♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THELMA♪♫♪♫ May your day be special in every way possible!
Paula, thank you for the update about the fledging. Hope you are doing well.
Shirley, so glad you found a local pharmacy to compound med for George. Had to do that with thyroid med for one of the long ago Siamese. Worked out perfectly.
Linda, seeing a bear would be scary but I think exciting at the same time. Hope he/she survives.
Will, of course, keep Delphia in my thoughts tomorrow. So wish her the best of positive news.

Margy, there is a trout stream up the road from us about a half mile and it is stocked from time to time. Gene and I, both have seen eagles flying around there. This could be one of their fishing holes. I need to get my pole out and snag one of those beauties!
Thanks, Linda. That quote really brings me up to date.
I'm glad they have both at least begun to fly, although they both seem to have made it back quickly and are flaking out a lot... resting and growing those young muscles.
Good almost afternoon everyone! I has taken me awhile to read all the comments. Linda I am so pleased that Dennis knew how to growl - Sounds like a young black bear - Hope you find your feeders! DanaMo is having graduation today at Kindergarten. Sharon I think all 8th graders should be honored on that last day. Judie I just check and all 3 Decorah are back in their nest - one is devouring the food and the other 2 are acting like our own Bro.
Jim, these 2 have been totally different from past juvies from our nest. They must not venture far and doubt if they have even started "Fishing School" They have been here in the nest for food and sleep during the day and at night - Maybe this is something Shep has to realize is the Dad's duty"
Sharon Enjoy all these special events that are taking place this week. The mother of the groom is very special to all of us as is Andrew! We followed Andrew for the past 6 years - You Did Good raising your son. Love you and enjoy!
Good morning! Laurel and Jacob just left for the water park. I am dog sitting. Bosco is asleep in the bathroom as he likes the tile. Luke is sitting here with me, he is on the arm of the sofa looking at me.
Jack has gone to get a hair cut. Thinkj I am going to water pots and repot some aloe vera today. I have so much of the plant that I take it to church and give it away!! Want some?
♪♫ Happy, Happy Birthday, Thelma!♪♫ Wishing you a great day!!
Sharon, will be thinking of you this weekend. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Our children's weddings and receptions were two of the happiest of times!! Love it when friends and family can have fun!
Washing Jacob's bunny bears. He has three and they all were in a "fight". Looks like they had been beaten up...lots of blood, and scars. LOL Thankfully, Jacob used washable crayons. ☺
I so appreciate all the love from everyone about my baby boy's wedding. It really is an exciting time and he is extremely happy so that definitely makes Mommy happy!
Okay, was that a landing or a jump down from the stump? Then it was "look at me, look at me, look at me!" as she hip hopped all over the nest. Poor Bro just ducked his head.
Got up at 1:30 to watch The Service Of Thanksgiving For Her Majesty's 60 year reign. It was held in St Paul's Cathedral. Very good service and thankful for her 60 years of service really. GREAT LADY. Prince Phillip was absent and she entered and exited the Cathedral on her own...she rode in the car with her lady-in-waiting. Her Majesty is rather tiny really...not too tall at all.
Shirley, the drugstore you mentioned brings back so many memories of the Schindles in Hagerstown. After my piano lesson I would walk down for a hot fudge sundae or a chocolate coke! Then in later years working in Hagerstown as a teenager I would walk in and have lunch - I can still taste it! I hope everyone has had the experience
You are the Grand Lady going for her manicure and pedicure SHAR...WIth the elegant clothes and good festivities you will experience this weekend it seems to me you will be in need of a Lady-in Waiting...I will send my application in right away!!!

Great and exciting. Hoda for your upcoming trip. Wish we could all take a road trip once you get here and come up north to see you! Life is just too full of missed chances :(

Thank you Magpie and thank you for my card. It came right on time.

Good Morning!!
***** HAPPY BIRTHDAY THELMA!! *****
Hope you have a super special day today. xoxo
Love seeing that "official" report on our juveniles!!
Parent (Belle?) just flew into the nest with a fish, but the juvies aren't there.....
She looks around and waits.
They must be flying around . She decides to have a snack herself!!
Very interesting......
MISSY and BRO are definitely not close, or they would join Belle in the nest for FOOD....
Belle continues to eat.....all by her lonesome!
Oh
I at least DO see it on the Still Cam...
thanks for the heads up Linda
and Hello! going for five days without a migraine !
☺
wowser
and on that note my Live feed just came on !
Bet she's lovin' it...
imagine, a meal to herself
well, there's some company !
Eaglet landed on its head!
bet it was noisy for those with sound...
You are welcome T-Bird..I never know quite how long it takes mail to get from HERE to THERE ☺
Juvie flies in from the 4 position - quite nicely I might add - and engages Belle. Belle backs away and the Juvie starts to eat. Not sure which one this is, but I think it might be MISSY.
Big surprise, Huh??
That is a nice fish !
I missed the landing, Sharon...
but I knew YOU wouldn't miss ! ☺
I'm really happy to see the Still Cam back on...
Not mantling or eating the fish. Just standing there. Now starting to pick at it a little. That landing may have stunned her a little bit.
Yes, Margy, I am migraine free again today.
I am getting spoiled!!!
I wish I knew which one this was.....
POOF BELLE
SHARON - Have a wonderful week!! Enjoy every minute of it!!
Sounds like someone is in the attic.
Yay! Local pharmacy cam formulate George's pills!!
Will be picking them up today.
BEAR ALERT...... AT THE SALSBERRY ROOST...

This bear was different from one that has come the last couple years. He had the most beautiful shiny black coat that just glistened as he ran. Not that I wanted him to hang around, but he had a gorgeous coat!!
Great news, SHIRLEY!
That would be awful if he had to go without his medication, not to mention costly.....
Yikes, Linda!! Scary but exciting too.
I am still upstairs and have been watching a nut hatch get some food from the feeder or suet and then fly to the tree next to the window.
He gives the food to another nut hatch, who then flies off with the food.......probably to a nest nearby.
Neat stuff!
I am wondering if this might be Bro - looking at his right wing and the white spots along the side of it.
It is getting more and more difficult to tell them apart.
Does anyone else know which one this is?
Missy also eats more aggressively.
Yes, Shirley! Dennis says as long as the bear stays on four lets and doesn't get up on his hind legs, he isn't too alarmed.
I said I wouldn't go out there and even give him the chance.
I am glad it is too cold to have the windows open. I don't like the sliding doors open when the bear is around.
Yeah, it is an old-fashioned pharmacy in downtown Fredericksburg, the kind with a lunch counter.
Goolricks
Goolricks
Okay, the link works now.
Maybe you can get a nice coke float while you're there, Shirley!!
Looks like Hunter would love that place!!
It makes you yearn for the good ole days seeing a place like that.
Life is so different now with mega stores. Nice to see that one has survived over the years!
Wow, Linda...very very exciting...about the bear,
the no-migraine,
and the nuthatches sharing....
Sounds like time for a Road Trip !
Good Shirley, about the local pharmacy coming through for George ..
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
GOOD TUES MORNING, ALL.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
I see Missy is eating the "whole fish" herself, and I hear what is probably the younger one on the camera equipment. Is that about right??
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Hey Jim First, GOOD MORNING
Second, with your new and improved eyes....what kind of fish do you think the whale is ?
I can't say for sure, but that just looks like BRO in the nest to me. His mannerisms, the way he ate, the way he toppled into the nest, and the way he looks right now.
Maybe Shep or Belle is in the attic watching?
Also, when he spread out his wings, his back was darker. I think Missy's back has a lot more white in it.
And this one looks to be calling. Bro is the more vocal of the two.
What do you think??
Belle returns. She is going to finish up the fish.
If Missy was in the nest, she would be nasty.
Bro joins in with her and they both eat side by side.
I am still on the fince, but I think it is Bro.
Belle feeds the fuvie as well....
Saw the other juvie fly onto a branch or stump at the 9-10 position. I don't have sound, but feel sure I saw those big wings.
Has not dropped down into the nest yet.
That would be juvie.....and not fuvie!! LOL
Good morning.
Hi Hoda! Hi Margie!
Now that I see Belle (?) in the nest and see that the eaglet needs to be fed yet, I think it is Bro on the nest.
The fish??..... I think it looks like a large female bass shaped fish. What do you think?
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Belle is having to feed the baby.
Just like a kid and Mom.
The child says, "I'm done."
Mom says, "What is all this on your plate??"
Child says, "What food?"
Mom takes the plate and starts cutting up what is left and feeds the child what is left!!!
CLASSIC!!
Pete's Pond is back on air. I think the baboons messed up the camera.
Decorah looks like one eaglet has branched and the other two are wingersizing and hopping up and down.
RTH are due to fledge any day.
Kestrels are looking like they want to see the outside world.
Cornell has a new osprey cam on a nest in Montana. Eggs due to hatch any day.
Wishing everyone a super wonderful day.
bye
I agree JIM!
Don't know about the FISH, but the behavior is definitly NOT like MISSY!!
HODA would be thrilled to see BRO fly into the nest as he did and to het a FISH all to himself and a little TLC from Mom to boot!!!
Does the male adult still have the dark feather on top of his head??
If this is Belle, then the eaglet looks at least as big as her, and I think that would I.D. it as Missy.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
INCOMING
MISSY flies in and mantles what is left.
Belle moves to Missy's right.
Bro moves to Missy's left.
Missy just bows and mantles.....
YES, JIM.
Shep still has the dark spot
Belle just flew up to the attic.
SHARON - Do you think Bro is at 12 right now and MISSY is eating??
Trying to get other opinions on identifying the juvies.....
Right now, Missy does look to be wider than Bro based on how I am seeing it...
Has Missy actually fledged yet? Left the tree? Or is she into advanced branching?
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
NAP time for Bro!
Yes, Jim.
NCTC still cam reported seeing both of them flying away from the tree.
They report Missy as fledging Friday and Bro's first fledge away from the tree early this morning.
MARGY brought this over....
and from the Still Cam Page..
an update:
June 4, 2012
Both eaglets have finally experienced freedom.
Tuesday, June 05, 2012 8:48:00 AM
That would be yesterday morning for Bro.
Bro taking a nap.
Missy eating the rest of the fish.
All is well.....
ok fisherpersons, I don't have much of an idea...thanks, ..I
like the coloring, was thinking trout...
because of coloring
You're Right Judie about those Kestrels! They look beautiful
GOOD MORNING...
Margy, there is a trout stream up the road from us about a half mile and it is stocked from time to time. Gene and I, both have seen eagles flying around there. This could be one of their fishing holes.
I need to get my pole out and snag one of those beauties!
Well I best get moving.
Both of our Juvies are fed and there is much to do at my roost today.
Will check in later.
Amazing, the wit our KAY has through all that pain and suffering.
Keeping KAY and DELPHIA in prayer through my day today.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day.
TTFN
Wanda;
Would that be Rocky Marsh Run ??
Yes, go get yourself a meal
down to one juvie but I missed the departure
Yes, Margy...Rocky Marsh Run. Never fished there, looks snaky!
Thanks, Linda. That quote really brings me up to date.
I'm glad they have both at least begun to fly, although they both seem to have made it back quickly and are flaking out a lot... resting and growing those young muscles.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Hey Bro lets surprise Mom and re arrange the furniture. :-)
I was over on FB and making remarks for out T- Bird
Happy Birthday Thelma, my friend
Have a fantastic day and celebrate you
Jim, these 2 have been totally different from past juvies from our nest.
We followed Andrew for the past 6 years - You
Did Good raising your son. Love you
and enjoy!
That is Bro with the little white feather on his left wing. He is a beautiful male juvie!
Mema Jo, did you send out an email Subject: What the heck - I thought I would try it - and it is a file with the name "Chinesep.pps"?
I have yet to see one of our eaglets leave or arrive back at the nest. They are always plotzed!
Sharon, will be thinking of you this weekend. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Our children's weddings and receptions were two of the happiest of times!! Love it when friends and family can have fun!
The landings can be quite humorous but skeery. Yesterday was the miss of the nest and today was landing on the face.
Washing Jacob's bunny bears. He has three and they all were in a "fight". Looks like they had been beaten up...lots of blood, and scars. LOL Thankfully, Jacob used washable crayons. ☺
that was rather, active !
I guess it is Missy who just came off the stump with all the gusto she could muster.
rather strange, the still cam shows only one eagle
I so appreciate all the love from everyone about my baby boy's wedding. It really is an exciting time and he is extremely happy so that definitely makes Mommy happy!
It looks like the still cam is froze at 11:54:10.
Okay, was that a landing or a jump down from the stump? Then it was "look at me, look at me, look at me!" as she hip hopped all over the nest. Poor Bro just ducked his head.
Now it is right.
Jack is home now, so going to head outside with him.
Later, Gators!!
Both are plotzed now!
Sharon, Red sent it to me and like him
What the heck it's worth a try!
So Do It! Just in case it is our lucky day! ♥
Sharon
Just your presence got that still cam kicking again !
little slowdown on the interstate around exit 12 our county....any local travelers might want to find an alternate route
accident around the 11mm
lots of equipment out there including a couple of helicopters
Oh sure Magpie, I am all powerful like that! :)
Jo, I was just afraid it was a virus or something.
Good morning/ good afternoon everyone...
♫♫ Happy Birthday to You! ♫♫

PRAYERS for DELPHIA and KAY...GOD'S Grace be with you both in healing and strength
SHIRLEY so very happy that you have the medication for George and yes indeed I like the picture of the local pharmacy.
Did you tell the bear It is me bear? LINDA and DENNIS glad you saw it but also glad that it ran away...
Hello my friend Hoda!! Can I be your lady-in-waiting?
Good morning to you Hoda. How many more days in the count down????????
Shirley, the drugstore you mentioned brings back so many memories of the Schindles in Hagerstown. After my piano lesson I would walk down for a hot fudge sundae or a chocolate coke! Then in later years working in Hagerstown as a teenager I would walk in and have lunch - I can still taste it!
I hope everyone has had the experience
There went Missy out and about again

A VERY HAPPY,

Terrorist leader killed in U.S. drone strike
Abu Yahya al-Libi, the No. 2 man in al-Qaida and a longtime public face of the terror network, has been killed by a U.S. drone strike in Pakistan, a U.S. official said Tuesday.
His death marks one of the most significant blows to al Qaeda since the U.S. miltary killed Osama bin Laden in a daring nighttime raid in Pakistan a year ago.
Try to get my trash can to work and having somewhat of a problem getting the double comment out of there
BBILW
In from the yard, getting a bit warm out there. Up to 90 now.
Do not worry about double posts, Jo. It is just so much trouble sometimes to delete. We all do it...we accept it as stuttering. No big deal. ☺
Laurel has posted on fb picture of Joseph heading out for a hike and one of Jacob at Pirates Cove. Hope both are having great times.
Joey is doing a great job of texting pictures to Laurel, so she is keeping up with them in CO. Next year she has offered her services to go, to chaperone and to be the cook. They always get take out and Laurel wants to go and cook. Sounds like fun!
Home for lunch and see one eagle in nest and the tip of the wing of the other on 9 now to go read wow wow over 125 to read
