Annie ate dry food all her life until about 1 1/2 years ago. Now she tells us morning and evening....I want food! She has a LOUD meow!!

SUSAN I took your advise and bought allergy eye drops for the itchy burning eyes and so far so good Zicam and eye drops and nose spray at night I think I am falling apart I teased Janet on the phone the other nite that I got it from her Just kidding I work with the general public and it a wonder I am not sick all the time I guess but it seems to help the eye drops thanks for mentioning it this am before I went to work ok back to the news

JUDY, personally, I think working around large numbers of people builds up a healthy person's immunities. After 28 years of teaching kids, I have been exposed to the most potent germs the world has to offer and I hardly EVER get sick - maybe one or two colds a year, and I don't get flu shots. That sound you hear right now is me knocking loudly on wood - certainly don't want to jinx myself!!

LYNNE2, I knew that the monitor had speakers but couldn't get them to work before I had to load everything in the car and get to Salisbury to meet PAULA. My son DID give me a cable to connect the monitor to the CPU and said it should work. PAULA emailed me a day or two later to say she had gotten the sound working. I was just so impressed with myself that I took out the dead hard drive, put in a new one, and reloaded windows and all the drivers and utilities! Have you kept the antivirus program I installed or did you install something different?
By the way.....of the two Vulture Babies Lori had at the barn-nest last year, one survived and fledged and one did not....am sure she will share some of this with all of us

Hello Eagle Fans! Just got in from the hospital and surgery for BFF went great. 1 foot of colon removed along with, we hope, all the cancer. No surprises. Path report on Friday to determine any further treatment. WHEW Long day, but I wouldn't have missed. Thanks for all your prayers and happy thoughts today.

Lynne2, she was soooooo sore. But it was laproscopic so her recovery should be much better in the long run... or is that short run. It will be hard to keep this gal down for long. :-)
SUSAN great news about your friend and hope all the cancer is gone will continue to pray as always Was on phone with Angie poor Miss Jordyn is sick had a 103 fever earlier in the am now it gone Angie put her in the tub and of course she didn't like it but it did break the fever she is on med to keep it down she has a terrible croupy sounding cough so I think I may know where I got this Angie said she was coughing Sat and Sun mine started Sun and she did have a runny nose on Fri Have you every heard of vinegar and socks to bring down a fever Old remedy I guess Angie tried it also I don't have a fever of cough with mine and maybe taking the Zicam is helping on the part ok more Zicam Yuky
Lynne2, my nephew but I did not get to watch... just his interaction with the family and BFF. He was so good. His skills are known. So glad BFF chose him to do the surgery.

Hoda, we opted to tell the girls after they got home from school. For two reasons. I really didn't want them to miss today and the day of the funeral and two, we had no answers to their questions as to what happened once they got him to UVA. SO.... they took it ok. better than I thought they would and possibly it hasn't hit them. It will at the viewing and the funeral. It will hit us all.
JEWELS oh how difficult it is to be a parent and how loving you and CHARLIE are...the children are lucky you are their parents. I think for the viewing you will find ways to comfort thm and love them and this will make it part of their knowing how to deal with sadness...love and compassion and comfort of being a family. Praying for all of you during this difficult time.
Tough decision, Jewels, but sounds like the right one...

The RCMP might come riding in and then what would we all do JUDIE??? In BC they bust bears for guarding a grow op,in plain view...no one would approach the site because of the bears, but it turned out the RCMP came in not inhibited at all...they only take on serious cases mind you...a missing trash can from the US might have enough intrigue in it that they might be interested!!!LOL I am not exaggerating about the bears guarding the grow op,, is this a term used in the USA? Marijuana grow operation. Any way the owners of the property were feeding the bears dried dog food and were pretty sure of themselves as they did not attempt to hide it at all...All this happenend not too far away from here, maybe three hundred Kilometers!!! We are all still laughing...including the RCMP

Benny and Jet only meowed for a few seconds this am so hopefully will bet better and I only heard Benny one time about 5 this am so hopefully that will also go away also Tough love works LOL It sort of looks like lite snow in the nest although I know its raining See the white or is it me

good morning all.....i am goign to try to do some post reading today, haven't had a chance in days...
i was fully booked thurs and fri at work, then taught all weekend, and i had a HUGE class.....with this cold i've had....it pretty much wiped me out. i've been in bed early everynight for nearly a week! amazing how a small thing such as a virus knocks you out!
so monday, work, fully booked. i no longer work massage envy on tuesdays, but have a chair massage job on everyother tuesday and that went well.
today is private clients.....
rainy today; tornado watch.
everything else is going along well. i've thought about you all....just not had the time/energy to pop on here.....
hope everyone is well.....will try to get some reading done in a bit!

OH BOY I just scared the heck out of both my cats I went to the kitchen to get another cup of coffee standing at the counter and all of a sudden both the A--holes jumped on the counter I immediately YELLED DOWN and hit the counter as hard as I could they both went squiring somewhere in the house Hope that will help break them I hate that and will not tolerate it WHAT TO DO what to do
Did you see on the news to where German chancellor Angela Merkel was having dinner and a waiter spilled 5 beers on her back and instead of apologizing he started cursing saying someone pushed him its all on video also and the odd thing she just sat there didn't even flinch didn't affect her

Judy, try a spray bottle filled with water. Usually takes a few times before they learn to not like getting sprayed versus not liking you. JMHO after years and years of cat raising.
