Jo: this is what you said before you went to Mass: I have to leave now - I'll say prayers that when I return all will be well..♥ YOUR PRAYERS WORKED! seems all IS well - hope the intruder is gone for good!
MAGPIE - when you check back. I put a pic on blog of bear laying in yard. A bit bleary but you can make him out laying in front of the shed eating his corn.
I just wish I was here to get the video of the encounter but glad I got Belle return I just love the way they look at the eggs tooo sooo cute Ok I am going to go watch some mind numbing car racing on TV
LORI - probably the funniest night time visitor was a chipmonk. There is a new raised roofline built over the old, with a several inch airspace between the two. One night we could hear this chippie scramble up to the peak between the two roofs and let his acorn roll down from the peak to the eave on the other side. Once we figured out the noise, we'd lay there & wait for the scampering to stop and then the acorn to roll. We'd almost hold our breathe until we heard him scampering again & dropping the acorn again & again. Laughed so hard!
Well folks, dark time has settled in at our little piece of heaven. The fisher people, snowmobilers, etc have quieted for the night. Will do some reading and wait to see if any deer will venture out of the woods to the feeder, in spite of all the daytime noise.
Take care, wishing you an enjoyable evening, visiting or relaxing. Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers.
Checking in ... all sounds peaceful at the nest, thankfully!! CAROLANNE, the wildlife at the cottage sounds "to die for." I would come and visit if ... you can end the sentence!! =) When is your big eagle watching weekend? next weekend??
afer going through five sets of very nice pictures on CarolAnne's blog, I find that at least one of the two verification words is a real word. One pair "iamsolow that"
I felt like that sometimes today ! "paris, language and some" were in there too...
Welcome Home Jo, thanks for the Safe Eagle Prayers that you said...
It's Saturday, wonder if Red made it home today....
I was very impressed, also, Jo at the Hancock Folks' commentaries, and the pictures, and sure felt their distress in their posts.......they are right there with us for sure
I don't care for the difficulty in proving I am Not a Robot to have to ID 2 words! Now what's with that... That should prove I am a super hero if I get it right. Sometimes I keep it changing until I think I just may get it right..
I wish for some news concerning RED and his new hip. Shirley - is RED playing word games yet?
Just checked the Nest Weather forecast for tomorrow and it's still a 40% chance for less than 1/2"...so a 60% of nothing! :) It's the same for here...suits me just fine this time.
Caught up to 7:44.......SO glad I was not here to witness the turmoil.......think I would have gotten sick. Please, God, we can't go through this again.
Lots of pics.....hard to look at.
Nine laps into the Bud Shootout, and big wreck......Loretta, you watching???? Jr. was NOT in it!! Let the season begin...the hard way. Gordon has damage :)
With the George and Martha saga, wasn't the marauding female named Jezebel? That was way back in '06! Wow.
Dinner was delightful....and delicious. It really hit the right spot. I had calamari, nice and crispy; a yummy salad; and Penne Forno--which is their version of Baked ziti....nice and saucy! and I have leftovers for tomorrow.
CarolAnne...I've had all the same visitors here except the wolf. Have had coyotes, tho'....and bobcats heard, not seen.
All, I Denny's photos from today's outing on my blog. I admit I'm a little biased, but my hu7bby can take some nice pics!! The weather was great and, though I didn't see any eagles, it was worth the trip.
LOL, Lori....everyone has a different forecast. I've always believed that they put their heads together and say "you say this, I'll say that, you say the other...and one of us will be right!"
Might be a little late tonight if he just got back from the hospital today and is tired, but maybe tomorrow sometime. He usually answers pretty quickly.
Interesting--weather map for Georgia shows purple, which is supposed to mean ice or snow, but the report says it is raining. Temp is supposed to be in the 50s.
I posted the following on the Hancock Foundation site as per JUDYE'S suggestion.
"Kudos to all the folks invovled at the Hancock Foundation for the EXCELLENT reporting and the caps and captions of the incident with the intruder at the nest today.
Honourable mention of The Hancock Foundation Site and all its reporters and observers on Windows on Wildlife and also on Shepherdstown Blog.
Hoda, are you known to the gals on WOW - same comment should be posted over there for their coverage...♥
Shirley - I forgot that his surgery was just this week. Don't know what I was thinking about. Diane probably had lots to do to prepare the house for Red's homecoming.
Yes, the sad truth is that GDub lost to St. Josephs but the Colonials played a good game.
I am so relieved that the intruder at the nest this afternoon was dealt with and no apparent damage to Belle, the eggs, or Shep. All looks quiet right now.
I see that the sandperson went to Martingsburg without my permission and has returned here without a sound. I feel dream dust in my eyes.
The night light is on for anyone who may need to arise in the darkness and for those who may come in from the West coast. Restful sleep for all and may peace reign at the nest.
There was one remaining chap I had hoped captured a video of the incident this afternoon. I decided to write him a note in case his camera was rolling and he had not yet checked it. If not we will all have to settle for the photos from Hancock Foundation.
LOLLY I read someone posted that they phoned LYNNE this afternoon after the incident...for the life of me I can not remember who!!! Sorry!! I agree with you the nest is lighter maybe not cloudy over there? Tuesday it will be really dark as it is the last phase of the moon...
Calling it a night! Belle is awake but quiet! Great update on Tori today. Happy ending for Leroy and Bobby - don't think I could foster animals, LORI, b/c i would get too attached! Looks like Bethany is supposed to have rain tomorrow that turns to snow tomorrow night. Guess I'd better run my errands early!! Goodnight all!
IMHO - I would not have called Lynne about the intruder - Only if something horrible happened like a broken egg or an injured eagle..... As long as everything turned out ok - I just wouldn't was to worry someone.
Don't know if Paula will tune in here but I wouldn't call or text her & Nick!
I am wondering if the intruder today is the same that was sitting in the middle of the nest a while back - before any eggs. Unless Belle was able to convince her/him to stay away - far away she/he will possibly return.
I don't want anything to happen to our Royal Couple!
quick good evening to one and to all....racing on the tv...all the furbabies fairly quiet....granddaughter spending the night...she's asleep and livvy will be asleep shortly i think. and tom is researching seats for our boat....cheaper to buy new seats than have the old ones recovered! :(
been a busy day; although i didn't work on things i thought i would. :I my own fault.
got busy with other more fun things..lol. that's okay, there's tomorrow.
proud of myself, did 15 min again on the ellipitical again today, 3rd time this week. :) better than nothing.
hope everyone has had a good day. i've been reading posts; am never caught up! lol
Well, racing fans, see that Lynn already mentioned the winner of race. Kyle, the younger of the bad Busch Bros. edged out good ol Tony Stewart by a nose. But Kyle had come thru a few wrecks!Just saw the last one when Jeff Gordon pushed Kyle and spun him out, but Jeff moved up & hit some others and went sliding on roof and rolled several times. He was alright, tho.
Getting time to turn this off soon, so to all those hitting the hay, Pleasant Feather Dreams, God Bless our Nest, and prayers for Good Health for All ;>)
One of the pictures from the Hancock Foundation mademe think it is the same female intruder that was in the nest on January 24th...I think JO is wondering out loud...anyone else thought so? What do you think LOLLY?
My hearing more so then my speakers is the reason I rely on your ears on here. I am deaf - especially to Eagle's trills and other sounds.
I want to go back and look really good on WOW and Hancock at the 3 in the nest and then 2 who they thought was Belle and Shep fighting off the intruder... I have a feeling it was Belle and the intruder who may just have a dark spot on head like Shep.... I am tired and may need to do that tomorrow
Dear Eagle fans, I mentioned earlier that pics of intruder I saw on Hancock looked like the one here awhile ago. Had the dark markings on head. Unfortunately, it's a good sign, like Steve said last year, that eagles are thriving, so more searching for territory. Sissy, good to see you! How are you doing?
I missed the action too, Lolly. I was heading out the door as it was happening. ' I just am looking on the WOW and Hancock Forums..... So many pictures. I have to go back & look at them again. I need to also find Judy's pic or video of the 1st intruder..... I just want (her/him) to FLY AWAY!
Belle vocalizing and gets off the eggs...odd noise from the attic and Belle is on the railing at noon...she comes back into the nest and digs in the cup...the odd noise sounded like someone took off from the cam...Belle is now facing five and incubating.
Hoda, I have been watching. I was over at Hancock reading their comments on this afternoon. Saw and heard Belle up and upset once again. I am wondering if this other eagle is in the tree for the night. It would be strange for the eagle to be flying around.
Maybe flying short distances LOLLY like we have seen Belle do...I thkn the take off was to a different part of the tree... Belle is settled in facing five and NOT tucked in...head lowered towards the flugg...
I am heading to the shower and then to bed. Laurel and Jack are both reading. I presently do not have a book going. Waiting for my eye to heal to start reading a book.
The Chap I thought had a video just answered. Same one who had made the video of the first sighting of the intruder in the nest. He was watching another nest at the time and does not have video...
Jewels ☺ that would be TUESDAY night, aka FAT TUESDAY - Mardi Gras...the night before Lent begins, Ash Wednesday...if you are still watching us here.... I think you would be OFF that night, right ?
I was alseep, woke up, thought it was time to get up and ready for work...
Howdy, Hoda ☺ I probably won't be off the pillows for long.... Nice comment you sent to the Hancock folks.... I even became rather endeared to the name "Smitty" today while reading their comments and posts....
Not close to the tree, not really ....there is a favorite tree or two along the wood line that we have seen the Eagles roosting in when on nest visits....it's closer to the Potomac.....
I understand also there are quite a number of Eagles nests not too too far from NCTC, some on the WV and some on the MD side of the Potomac...wonder if any observers are seeing any problems with extra homeless eagles in those nests... have one person I can try to ask about it but it might take a few days to get their phone number
My impression from the pictures that WOW folks got, is that it seemed large that the "first intruder" we saw, I didn't really see those significant darker spots like we saw on that first one's head but the tail looked similar...
Eagle Chirpings now....I can't see the nest, too dark
Belle is off the eggs...looks up and is looking around ans is now vocalizing...loud trills and tilting of head. She agian goes to railing and is looking out at one thirty...continues to vocalise. She does a poop shoot for sure I saw her tail lift and isn ow back in the nest, over the cup facing five.. She is awake head is up
which also makes me wonder, has she been bothering with other nests in the area, and getting chased off...and just roaming around trying her luck...assuming it is a female....
my friend would only be able to tell me if he has seen some uncommon activities at those other nests, Hoda...so it might not shed any light at all on the NCTC situation.....he is over on the Maryland side....
The eyes at NCTC/their staff, Steve and the other wildlife specialists there... are what we need some observations from....
Jewels, if you are still here here is the Blackwater site...check out the duck in the nest pantry... and the picture links to the New Baby ☺ http://www.friendsofblackwater.org/camhtm2.html
that Blackwater nest, we call it BWE by the way also Caro.... starts back up again at 0500 - - there will probably be the second hatch sometime Sunday.....
things are quiet again at the nest...I didn't think Belle sounded too terribly alarmed on that last round of calls...and as several have mentioned....there may well be Great Horned Owls in the area too that could be out and about... let's hope it's that.... at least the owls aren't looking to take over the nest...they would just mess with the eggs, which seem to be well-protected
Scratching on the camera.Chirping from the tree and then eagle took off, Belle's head following in tracking. Belle is tracking and again gets off the eggs and is standint in the pantry looking around ...puts her head up and is now answering the chirps, sometimes looking below the nest...she walks back to the cup and is facing noon and rolls the eggs turning to face seven looking up at the camera.
The reason I say an eagle took off is the chirping sounds distanced and then Belle was tracking, they returned and Belle seemed to answer the chirps then.
Hi SHIRLEY, I'm just passing through, too. Had to take Tylenol and am waiting for microwave heating pad. Two inches of snow and we're sitting high and dry in Big "C" !
Yes, I feel pretty certain as well. I was here for the switch, but it was hard to establish that it was Belle when I sat down, but it seemed to be her "call" and I think I see his spot.
Slow here wireless mouse stopped working. It is hard using the pad on laptop.
Always keep extra but when I uwrapped mouse I brought as extra a year ago. It didn't say on pack up it is one that plugs inot big computer. So I'm slow..
Thanks, Lori and DMo! Lori, I thought of you when we came upon the huge gnarly tree next to the swamp b/c I seem to recall that you like taking pics of trees. Have been emailing back and forth with Loretta b/c her pics are always so great. She actually suggested that Denny just find some photo editing software that he likes and become very familiar with it. She sent me before and after pics of the juvie she saw at the park and of Hidey from 2009 and said that the "zoom in" was done just with the software. That would be a whole lot cheaper than another $1000 for a new lens!
Morning Carol Anne. I really love to SEE snow and, you're right, snow on the beach with the ocean rolling in is beautiful. I'm just not a fan of the temps that go along with snow - I am just very cold sensitive. I can play 2 hours of tennis in 100 degree weather with 90% humidity and be fine. I just get cold very easily.
Got a call yesterday that Bobby and LeRoy were doing really well and that they will send pictures! Other cats seem very happy to have two less today. Maybe less competition.
sure looked like two chicks to me at BWE...but that egg sitting there has me confused.... because it looked like a whole egg also we'll know soon enough for sure !
I have a beautifully singing Song Sparrow out in the Spruce tree here....

It's the same for here...suits me just fine this time.
That coffee sounds good, JO.
Good Night, Margy. Sweet dreams.

Wind seems to have eased a bit, but temp is down to 42°. Brrrr. Snow is still in forecast, but maybe not too much.
THink I'm going to go get my bath while they clean up the wreck.
All, I Denny's photos from today's outing on my blog. I admit I'm a little biased, but my hu7bby can take some nice pics!! The weather was great and, though I didn't see any eagles, it was worth the trip.
No, Margy, GDub lost...:(

Oooh ... just saw my typos. Fingers must be drowsy! Sorry.
Left Red a message on Scrabble chat, Jo. Told him you were asking about him.
Back from a very good yoga practice.
All is quiet at the nest I understand except for the wind.
Phone call had me away for a while..
Lynn - that's a good synopsis of those
weather forecasters.....
Your dinner sounds great!

Hello everyone.

Done JO...I had thanked them in a post but made changes and posted a seperate thank you that reads like thus:
'Kudos to all the folks invovled at the Windows on Wildlife for the EXCELLENT reporting of the incident with the intruder at the nest today.

Hi all! Boys are going to bed.
Lynn, I was wondering if you called Lynne about the intruder today?
It is interesting that the nest looks lighter tonight.
This coming Wed is for me, Ash Wednesday
That means on Tuesday-
Shrove Tues Pancake Day Fat Tuesday
Mardi Gras in New Orleans
Let the Lenten season begin....

The above comments are MHO
I am wondering if the intruder today is the same that was sitting in the middle
of the nest a while back - before any
eggs. Unless Belle was able to
convince her/him to stay away - far away
she/he will possibly return.
I don't want anything to happen to our
Royal Couple!
Wow, what a mess....Gordon sure messed that up. Can't blame it on Busch this time.
Maybe Stewart is going to win this one.
And Jr. got really messed up earlier. ARGH!
Sandperson has arrived here. Even though I slept in, I am sleepy now, so about ready to call it quits.
Hope all is well with the eagles tonight. Very peaceful looking now.
Geesh...Kyle Bush won. :(
Lynn - I'm not a racing fan
Kyle Bush Good or bad?
Belle is awake.........
No, I didn't call Lynne since everything apparently turned out okay. No point in worrying her the way you eye witnesses were!!!
Jo--hoping I feel up to Pancake Day.....Christie is coming to get me and take me back down to Ranson's firehall! Yummm!!! Pancakes with sausage gravy!
Jo...my oops.....Busch. He's one of the bad boys.
I am going to check FB---if it's working right! And then I will call it a day. Y-a-w-n!!!!!
BW bobble head is dear.....and has extra nest warmth with that duck!!!
Good night, sweet friends. Hope Red DID make it home today. Diane will probably be waiting on him hand and foot!!!!
Prayers.....and peace.
P.S. Nice notes of thanks, Hoda, to Hancock and WOW!
When is pancake day at the firehall??
quick good evening to one and to all....racing on the tv...all the furbabies fairly quiet....granddaughter spending the night...she's asleep and livvy will be asleep shortly i think. and tom is researching seats for our boat....cheaper to buy new seats than have the old ones recovered! :(

hope everyone has had a good day. i've been reading posts; am never caught up! lol
smiles to all!
Nooooooooooooo!
Belle is up and vocalizing. She is not happy, cricking her neck up and beak open.
Surely, that eagle is not flying around and bothering them at night. Something certainly had Belle upset.
She is quiet now, rolling the eggs.
She is very alert!
She faces six, rolls the eggs and settles down after a wiggle wiggle...looking all around.
One of the pictures from the Hancock Foundation mademe think it is the same female intruder that was in the nest on January 24th...I think JO is wondering out loud...anyone else thought so? What do you think LOLLY?
I'm watching the nest
BUT I don't want to see anything
Hey, Loretta, we received over two inches of rain today!
No opinion now, Hoda. I have not had time to see pictures. Can not believe all of this happened today when I have not been on much.
Good nite everyone! Sleep tight!
I am praying for an eventful night for our eagles!!
I think you mean a NON eventful night, Bev!
My hearing more so then my speakers
is the reason I rely on your ears
on here. I am deaf - especially to Eagle's trills and other sounds.
I want to go back and look really good on WOW and Hancock at the 3 in the nest and then 2 who they thought was Belle and Shep fighting off the intruder...
I have a feeling it was Belle and the
intruder who may just have a dark spot on head like Shep.... I am tired and may need to do that tomorrow
Belle's head is tucked
I just saw light on and off at the tree
Guess it is the security truck
It reminded you of lightning......
I think I am really tired lol
I think Belle is tucked now. That is good.
Hi Jo! I really missed the action as well as the discussion this afternoon and evening.
Yep, that is what I meant!! LOL!!! Gonna get some sleep! Y'all holler if anything happens.

I just am looking on the WOW and Hancock Forums..... So many pictures.
I have to go back & look at them again.
I need to also find Judy's pic or video
of the 1st intruder..... I just want (her/him) to FLY AWAY!
I am out of here before I do Wanda's Faceplant.....
Night BEV aka SISSY
Good Night all
Prayers for all needs
Hugs for all ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Oh cool BW has a hatch
scratching on the cam and Belle is awake...

Belle is facing 4 o'clock. Head is down, NOT up and alert.
Maybe flying short distances LOLLY like we have seen Belle do...I thkn the take off was to a different part of the tree...
Belle is settled in facing five and NOT tucked in...head lowered towards the flugg...
Just finished quickly reading the first page...sounds scary about the intruder...relieved to hear everything is ok
/
/
I hear your concerns now too...wouldn't think anything would occur overnight
Belle lifts head and is awake
Hi Paula, it has been really scary today. Belle has been upset twice that I know of tonight.
Hoda, I really have not heard much of Shep up in the attic, have you?
PAULA I am soooooooo happy you are on...The Hancock foundation has some amazing pictures but I can not find video anywhere...
I heard the scratching and I am certain I heard someone lift off from the attic LOLLY...how far they went I do not know....
I am heading to the shower and then to bed. Laurel and Jack are both reading. I presently do not have a book going. Waiting for my eye to heal to start reading a book.
Nite Hoda!
The Chap I thought had a video just answered. Same one who had made the video of the first sighting of the intruder in the nest.
He was watching another nest at the time and does not have video...
Belle just tucked in.
Nite LOLLY...Hi to LAUREL and JACK...
Jewels ☺
that would be TUESDAY night, aka FAT TUESDAY - Mardi Gras...the night before Lent begins, Ash Wednesday...if you are still watching us here....
I think you would be OFF that night, right ?
I was alseep, woke up, thought it was time to get up and ready for work...
Good morning MARGY
I've always pictured Shep in the perches doing Sentry duty during darkness ..hope that is the case tonight...
I imagine the same MARGY...Is there more than one area he can perch?
Howdy, Hoda ☺
I probably won't be off the pillows for long....
Thanks MARGY
I understand also there are quite a number of Eagles nests not too too far from NCTC, some on the WV and some on the MD side of the Potomac...wonder if any observers are seeing any problems with extra homeless eagles in those nests...
have one person I can try to ask about it but it might take a few days to get their phone number
no cams of course at any of those nests...
My impression from the pictures that WOW folks got, is that it seemed large that the "first intruder" we saw, I didn't really see those significant darker spots like we saw on that first one's head but the tail looked similar...
Eagle Chirpings now....I can't see the nest, too dark
Belle, I think... is standing on the 11 spot, see the eggs...
She is awake head is up
and now I think she is back on the eggs
Yes, Good Morning! Sothe Pancake thing Mom is going to, is Tuesday? Yes I am off, I want to go with them!
Hate when I have been asleep and wake up thinking its time to go to work. :(
In one of the Hancock pictures I think I saw the same markings on the side of the head as the intruder eagle who landed on the nest in January.
Yesindeedy Jewels, it's Tuesday....
put your reservation in for a seat in the Christie-mobile ☺
It would be great if you asked your friend MARGY...the more information we get the better off we are in terms of knowing...
I'm pretty much thinking it's the same one too, Hoda...
which also makes me wonder, has she been bothering with other nests in the area, and getting chased off...and just roaming around trying her luck...assuming it is a female....
my friend would only be able to tell me if he has seen some uncommon activities at those other nests, Hoda...so it might not shed any light at all on the NCTC situation.....he is over on the Maryland side....
The eyes at NCTC/their staff, Steve and the other wildlife specialists there... are what we need some observations from....
Jewels, if you are still here
here is the Blackwater site...check out the duck in the nest pantry...
and the picture links to the New Baby ☺
http://www.friendsofblackwater.org/camhtm2.html
And I think you would be able to see more at night at the NCTC nest from that computer you are at....
cool, thanks Margy.... You want to go with us to have pancakes?
I will look up that site!!
that Blackwater nest, we call it BWE by the way also Caro....
starts back up again at 0500 - - there will probably be the second hatch sometime Sunday.....
things are quiet again at the nest...I didn't think Belle sounded too terribly alarmed on that last round of calls...and as several have mentioned....there may well be Great Horned Owls in the area too that could be out and about...
let's hope it's that....
at least the owls aren't looking to take over the nest...they would just mess with the eggs, which seem to be well-protected
I'm going to go try this sleep thing again....
bed's still warm (electric blanket helps ☺ )
Good Night Hoda, and any Night Owls still up and about...
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
Night Margy!!
Goodnight MARGY...
'Night Jewels ☺ ♥
and a ☺ ♥ for you too Hoda...
Belle is incubating but not sleeping...her head is up and is facing five.
Belle off the eggs and rolling them. Back to incubating...facing three...head up
Scratching on the camera.Chirping from the tree and then eagle took off, Belle's head following in tracking.
Belle is now facing noon and is tucked in...all is calm at the nest
Good night.
Sweet Dreams.
God Bless.
Passing through. Calm at the nest.
Rain--no snow predicted for the nest area.
Less than an inch accumulation predicted for my area--Fredericksburg. It seems just too warm for snow around here--42 degrees now.
Rain/snow approaching Charlottesville area.
Bad thing about coming downstairs at this time of day. The dogs want out. Then they will think it is time for breakfast. I want to go back to bed.
Hmm, checked my weather forecast again. We might get two inches of snow here.
Hi SHIRLEY, I'm just passing through, too. Had to take Tylenol and am waiting for microwave heating pad. Two inches of snow and we're sitting high and dry in Big "C" !
Happy to see things settled down at Sycamore Palace. That intruder is worrisome. Hope she soon gives up !
Me, too, Kay. I am going to go back to bed. No snow nor rain yet here.
I'm headed back to bed, too. Need more zzz's. See ya later !
Calling out. Hard to see, but see her (?) looking around.
Hum...I think she left. I see 2 eggs.
AND BACK, can't tell who it is yet
My dogs are the same way Shirley, but I do feed them at 5 am every day. They eat, go out, and go back to bed! Lazy bums!
SETTLED BACK IN THE NEST, I THINK IT'S SHEP NOW, CAN SORTA SEE THE SPOT ON HIS HEAD. SO THEY MADE THE SWITCH, THE CALLING OUT WAS FOR HIM TO COME
I guess Shirley and Kay have gone back to bed. Just missed them. Lori are you there??
Good Morning! Can't believe I slept in until 5:30 - very late for me!
I AM 90% CERTAIN IS IT SHEP ON THE EGGS NOW. JUST HEARD CHIRPING AND SCRAPING ON THE CAM FROM ABOVE.
IT'S SO HARD TO TELL IN THE SLOW MO DARKNESS WHO IS WHO, BUT THERE IS A PERSISTANT BLACK AREA ON THE HEAD.
Yes, I feel pretty certain as well. I was here for the switch, but it was hard to establish that it was Belle when I sat down, but it seemed to be her "call" and I think I see his spot.
DMO, so glad you're here and think the same thing!
I don't think we have seen a switch with these two so early - in this amount of darkness.
DEFINITELY SHEP IN THE NEST.
.
Good Morning Lori, DanaMo and Kay
Good Morning, DanaWV.
Good morning Dana
Morning Lori right back at you (:
Slow here wireless mouse stopped working. It is hard using the pad on laptop.
Always keep extra but when I uwrapped mouse I brought as extra a year ago. It didn't say on pack
up it is one that plugs inot big computer. So I'm slow..
Thank goodness the snow threat
is pretty well gone...
don't need intruder drama
& snow covered eggs!
Here's the forecast for the nest today:
A 20% chance of snow after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43.
Can hear a lot of some kind of chirping in the distance.
Morning Lori, DMo, and WVDana! Who do we have egg sitting? Think I'm seeing a spot, so Shep??
I have a lot of chirping in my backyard! ☺ Lots of birds out this morning.
Yes, Shep
Good Morning, Sandi! Really liked your pictures from yesterday and would llike to visit that park someday!
Beautiful pictures Sandi!
Good morning early birders.
Awaiting sunrise here.
Thankful for quiet night at nest.
SANDI - great pics,he did good. I gravitated to the previous one with s**w in the title. :o)
Something about the serenity of that pic . . .
Not sure what today will have on schedule, but hope everyone has a good one.
I do love taking pics of trees, Sandi. Wish I could have seen ol' gnarly! Have always loved trees - Sycamores are, of course, my favorites!
OK Sandi - we'll work on that temp thing. Will try for some type of snow about mid-July. LOL
Good Morning, CarolAnne!
Can hear the woodpeckers out around the nest this morning.
Top of the morning to you Lori
Got sidetracked over on shopgoodwill.com, love to browse that site.
Hope you heart was not too heavy to get some sleep last night.
Anybody who's on this AM able to identify that bird that just called? Sure wish I could! One of these days ...
Got a call yesterday that Bobby and LeRoy were doing really well and that they will send pictures! Other cats seem very happy to have two less today. Maybe less competition.
Not me - only know the easy ones -- crow, whip-poor-will
CA - I will have to check out the Goodwill site!
It was the Pileated Woodpecker, Sandi....
think he might have flown off, think that was also the woodpecker drumming at the branch
Good Morning Eagle Pals ☺
two adults at BWE
might get to see the bobblehead
oh non adults there now
just the baby and 2nd egg
adult having duck for breakfast, so the baby will too
that was all quick, couldn't tell bout the second egg...
Margie I just sent Lisa a picture of the bobblehead at BWE. awww so cute (:
Lori happy you got the call that the LeRoy and Bobby are doing good in new home (: I know you still miss them though.
it was a really quick switch, thought we'd see more of the egglet and eaglet, Dana...
I'm not even sure which parent is on the nest now...
SPLIT coming up soon...
I'm ttfn for now
Best Wishes for a Good Day, Everyone !
Sandi I love Denny's pictures at Trap Park.
sure looked like two chicks to me at BWE...but that egg sitting there has me confused....
because it looked like a whole egg also
we'll know soon enough for sure !
I have a beautifully singing Song Sparrow out in the Spruce tree here....
z
Good morning everyone.
Grey and overcast here.
Nest is quiet right now with Shep on duty.
Wishing a lovely day to all weather snow, rain, or sun.
MARGY, Wish we all knew bird calls and songs like you and Lynne. :)
Getting ready to head to Mass. Be back later...
Good Morning, Judie. Hello to Darth and the panthers!
