Tomorrow I will go to town and sit near the doctors office. That is if Mother won't let me drive her there. That way if she needs to go for any test I'll let the nurse know I can take her.
I have a nuclear stress test today. It will take 3-5 hours. They have said that they will give me some food. That is good, because I am not allowed to eat before I go. Mostly, I am thirsty.
Shirley----don't understand why it is going to take so long. When Charlie had his, it was only 2 hours. Hope they were just hedging their bets on scheduling!
I agree on the Stress Test timing. GG was only in the testing about an hour. She was not very happy about that test:) She wasn't told what to expect and so she was frightened.
Good morning! Watching all the birds and squirrels out on the deck. They certainly do provide entertainment.
Wanda - you probably missed my comment one evening of the most beautiful young fox that ran across the road in front of us when we were just about at the house. You be sure your its are still out in your woods! There isn't much space for them here.
Shirley - the only thing I definitely remember about my test was being extremely cold (Shakes) afterwards & the gals giving me warm blankets - They took very good care of me and it was only about 2 hrs I think. Hubby went & got coffee and run some errands. Lying flat instead of running on the treadmill suited me fine.
JO, I did miss your foxy comment:) I'm so glad you didn't hit it. So often, I don't get the see the LIVE fox on the highway, usually has been hit by a vehicle:( Kit Karson and Kit Kat are almost full grown now. Hoping they will bring little kits, next Spring~
Well my chatting blog time is about to end I am expecting Jenny at noon.. She is driving us to meet Kristen in Hagerstown for lunch then shopping. I'll be sure to return asap.
If you go to the Eaglet_Momster Album for 2011 07/01 to 11/30 and open it and go to the first picture for 7 11 63118am and click on it to enlarge it. You can see who caught that pictue 2 people did ( : Hay girl you said you couldn't get it in there....well I did and you did too♥♥
Please see if you can help me with my comment at 10:24am. Jo I did not see you comment until after I wrote my next to last comment. Hope someone can help me with that.
I am back. Slightly embarrassed. The test is next Monday. I appreciate the information you are sharing.
Got breakfast at McDonald's. I have already consumed 43% of my daily allotment of sodium and 40% my saturated fat. Good that I do not usually have breakfast there.
I did not sleep well last night, so it is naptime.
We had a warm night, 71 here right now. Yesterday's day of drizzle did not happen, we still have a chance of rain, chance of severe weather, but nothing is happening. Just want rain!!!!
Heading into the church this morning. Need to tidy up the prayer garden. Nest Sunday is Thanksgiving dinner at church and we will have a big crowd.
Lynn, sorry about the woodpecker on the house, but "wood" really love to see a piliated again!! My brother has had problems with woodpeckers on his home.
Looks like a busy Monday ! Lots of bird visits I missed! Will have to set alarm clock for this PM!! ☺
Did some 'puter window shopping last night & was surprised that price so high on some things I want. Boo. Have lots more places to check today & get er done!
Have a couple FAR away eagle pics from last TU I will try to post. Shirley, glad you got a reprieve for test! Now you'll be more prepared on what to expect. WVDana, hope your Mom gets some real relief from Dr. tomorrow. Prayers for her. Have a great day! ☺
Venus! I am happy to report that this planet HAS returned to the night sky, low on the horizon in the West after sunset, but it will be making some rousing appearances in November and December ♥
Serious prayers needed for DanaWV's mother. Glad the doctor appointment is Tuesday, and surely hope some relief can be found... it's a blessing that Dana is able to help out Family ♥ is so precious
Shirley: James and I check the sodium content of all the McDonalds's items..sure does not take much to exceed daily limits. Side Salad...has no sodium and only 40 calories... But....add a little dressing and it is up to 350 mg or more ! And it is not exactly filling... Sorry you couldn't get things taken care of today, WOOF! now you have to wait a week
That's it for me, no exceeding the speed limit here...It's the Eagles that make us do it! Hi Judie ☺ when you pop in, hope your school days are going well... and glad the student who went out during the game last night is OK !
My avatar today Zachary Michael Ellis, my third Grandboy! And he is GRAND! He is my Zacharooski!
Time for me to share with you about Zacharooski. (Who, when he arrived at church last Sunday, snuggled up to me!)
Since he was about 2, I knew and Laurel and Joey knew, he was "special". (educator background) Jack denied it! I could not be the one to say anything to Michael and Ashley. (for many reasons!) It had to be professionals. Sure enough, when he went to private preschool this last year, they recommended testing. Zach is highly intelligent, he is also high autistic, possibly "savant". He has always talked, that was not a problem. His memory is unbelievable. Thankfully, they can afford the best specialist in Dallas and he is getting all kinds of therapy, speech, fine motor skills, and body strength.
Michael and Ashley have a hard time talking about it. I have only heard Michael use the word autism one time and never from Ashley. They have also told us not to tell anyone. (Ooops!)
I on the other hand have no problem talking about it. Zach, is going to be fine. He is going to be a little "different" but he is a wonder. He is ALWAYS happy! He says the funniest things. He has a great sense of humor.
I just wanted all of you to know. I speak of J and J's sporting events and activities but not Zach's. Well, he tired soccer last year, but sports are not going to be his thing...not now anyway. He is going to a new private school this year, he is in kindergarten and so far is doing well. He makes friends and participates. His biggest problem lies in applying any knowledge to paper work. He is reading, he started that last year.
Anyway, that is my Zacharooski, who I am very thankful for!! And, the guitar? Well, he has about a half dozen...his big deal is Elvis! LOL
Love that picture of Zach, Lolly. He is, indeed, a delightful little boy. And he is fortunate to have you as his grandmother.
I did not know much at all about autism, and still don't know much, but one of my very best students is autistic. when he was in ninth grade, his parents learned that he has Asperger syndrome. They had always thought he was just painfully shy.
From what I understand, this syndrome expresses itself in many ways. It is good that Michael and Ashley have learned what the problem is. I hope they will come to terms with it soon, and will be able to talk about it.
From what I have seen of them, they could be excellent spokespersons.
Awww, sorry that Michael and Ashely don't want to talk about it. It's nothing to be ashamed of!
I have suspected for many years that our friend's Dave and Wendy's son, Bill, our little buddy (no so little anymore) is possibly a highly functioning autistic child. Wendy's mother was a teacher, and Dave's sister worked within the school system with autistic children for years, and her own son has Asperger's.
Wendy and Dave however, don't want to see it. Bill, until recently, had no friends, no social skills at all, no fine motor skills, very little tolerance for anything physical. Amazing memory, but poor in school just barely passing each year. He also "rocks" and does this sort of hand flapping thing as well.
Steve tends to blame it on his parents and he is correct in that they have never encouraged Bill to do ANYTHING. He literally spends his summer and holiday vacations sitting in the basement playing video games. He was in therapy years ago to help with his fine motor skills, but they didn't follow through with that. So, we spend time with him when we can, and pray.
Feeling a bit better today, but finding it takes time to get my system back in check after last Thursday's food poisoning.
I see everyone had a good and busy weekend and we start yet another week.
LORI - Happy to see you have another couple days off. And you're getting organized!! Doesn't it seem to be that we always have something that needs to be "re-done?"
WANDA - Excited for the newest grandchild, whatever the sex is. I know you just want a healthy Mom and child, but wishing for a girl!!
LOLLY - Love the "special" Zach avatar. He is truly special in many ways and he's so lucky to have a grandmother and aunt in the wings to always help!
LYNN - So sorry to hear of Taitlyn's passing. What strength her family had to give her organs for the lives of others.
SHARON - Kelsey's dress is simply elegant!! Perfect choice!
DANA MO - So enjoyed the celebration pictures and your toast and stories from the weekend. Your family is beautiful and so are you ♥!
LYNNE@ - Praying for a solution to your heating problems. That is just awful.
MARGY - Hoping you are enjoying your afternoon with the Jamester!!
ANDY - Your weekend dinner out sounded absolutely wonderful!! Glad there were leftovers to bring home!!
SHIRLEY - Sorry you had to prepare a week early!! WOOF!!! Dennis has to have one of those Nuclear Stress Tests in a couple weeks. They told him it was two parts. The first part would take about an hour and the second part would begin after an hour break. They said the second part would be about 1.5 hours. Were you driving yourself? I was wondering if I should drive Dennis. Best of luck.....
WV DANA - Praying your Mom is okay today and can get some relief tomorrow.
and i think Bill will be OK, somehow. He is growing up so fast and changes so much! When I stopped by yesterday, my routine when I see him is to open up my arms for a hug and say HEY BILLIAM, (that's what I call him) GIVE ME A HUG! The response is always 'EEEWWWW DON'T TOUCH ME" as he laughs and runs off. But yesterday, he actually came right up and gave me a hug!!! I almost cried, and I was so excited to come home and tell Steve!
Yesterday we had easily 20 blue birds all flying around and chirping and trying to get into a hole in a tree in our back yard. I got the binoculars and saw a couple sticks in the hole. Maybe they were trying to claim a nest. I don't know.
They sometimes start building nests in the boxes we have, but rarely lay eggs or hatch them. We shall see...
Then today we have easily 20 or more Cedar Wax Wings eating from the Sergeant's Crab Apple tree. They do this once a year and they are so beautiful!! They never stay.
It was interesting to talk to my student's parents. They are intelligent, capable people. But they did not find out about the Asperger's until their son was in ninth grade.
I don't know how much difference it makes to learn the diagnosis early, but I am thinking that it can make a big difference. I hope the private school is equipped to work with Zach.
I felt really good when I talked to the mom of my student. She said that after she talked with the specialists and other people, she came to the school all ready to do battle with us, but she was pleasantly surprised that we were ready and willing to work with her.
Lynne - That's so sad about Bill. There could be so much potential there that no one will bring to light. In the mean time, a child really suffers because he can't fully function in the world as it is.
Shirley, the stress test (coming up next Monday) should only be about two hours. You might have an initial sonogram and then the test. In my case, I had something like an mri (flat on a table while a machine moved over me from above) which gives a pre-stress reading. Then you wait and have the injection. The injection causes the heart rate to increase to full potential so it is scary. Then you have to drink ice water to wash out the injected stuff. Then you can leave. I drove myself there and home.
Lolly, I am very sorry about Zack but it sounds as if he is, indeed, high functioning. Autism is the general diagnostic term. Asperberger's Spectrum is used because the symptoms vary so much among individuals but one distinguishing factor is Asperberger individuals have communication skills not found with Autism. The earlier the intervention(s), the better he will deal with any limitations. I hope Michael and Ashley will overcome their discomfort as their total support is so important.

Yes Paula first visit was very long.
I think it is actually the third one this morning, Lynn.
Lots of action this morning. I've got to go and get the trash out. I will catch you fine friends on the flip side.
I have a nuclear stress test today. It will take 3-5 hours. They have said that they will give me some food. That is good, because I am not allowed to eat before I go. Mostly, I am thirsty.
I will check back in later today.
DanaMo---I TRIED to hook you and Andy up when you went to CA, but guess you missed my messages!!!
Where in SD is Monte's family?? Our dear Deb lived in Vermillion, I think it was.
Wow, Shirley---3 visits in one AM?? Good on them!!!
Shirley prayers for that 3-5 hour test and that everything is shown to be good ( : HUGS
Shirley----don't understand why it is going to take so long. When Charlie had his, it was only 2 hours. Hope they were just hedging their bets on scheduling!

I just had to chase away a pileated that thought my house was a good place to peck---AARGH!!!!!!
ANOTHER visit??? Wow!
Wanda when is baby due?
Lynn - what do you do to chase the woodpecker away - Noise - do you make noise?
Yep, Jo---I go shout at him!!!! SOmetimes just opening the door works. A barking dog has never worked---smart bird knows a dog can't reach him!!!
You know how fast that fox ran across the developments street - I guess that is why the saying is 'Quick like a Fox'
Oh Dana I clicked on your blue

a link. Hope your mom gets along well
at her doc's visit.

(for many reasons!) I am now headed to church, Jack is ready to go.

he does have some friends here and there but they don't last long. Not sure, but that could also be just typical teenage boy BS.
Zach is very blessed to have a family that cares and is willing and able to provide for his special needs!
Good Monday Afternoon to All!
