Now can you do another poem for us about that visit to the Sycamore tree???? LOL

Wow, we were ALL there in spirit! What I would't give to be there myself! I'm going to make plans to get there perhaps yet this year, got 2 weeks vacation to get in!
Thanks W Va Vicki...what a neat write up about our three eaglets and their spectacular display. You will remember that in your "minds eye forever. I too am always there in spirit. I will hopefully someday be able to also get there in person.
Flying so high in the sky.. Gliding on abreeze with such ease.."OUR" 3 Kids feel the love and put on a show each time we go to watch for them high in the sky.. The National Symbol of this USA, We have shared so many special moments over the last few months... 3 lil fuzz balls we grew to love..The Great American Bald Eagle we love will always be "OUR AMERICAN PRIDE"
I enjoyed that one, NILLA. Do you see that turtle shell right in the middle of the nest? Spidey's web highlights it every now and then. The others have really been moved around with nest activity. Can't find some of them so I'm hoping that they fell out onto the ground. Tomorrow is July 5 and that means the area is no longer off limits.I still wouldn't want to disturb them by going up to the Sycamore.
Well I am back. Did not get to see fireworks because a really bad storm rolled through here, we figured they would cancel the fireworks so we left. Of course, the show must go on and they had them. Oh well, wasn't meant to be.
Lots of activity on the blog but doesn't look like any activity in the nest, except for Spidey of course.
I hope everybody has a wonderful night and I will be on early in the morning light! Good night!
WV Gal Vicky, thank you so much for that report. I got tears in my eyes and chill bumps all over as I read it. Good description because I could just envision it and feel it! What a wonderful show they put on for you!

A lot of beautiful sentiments on the blog yesterday. You could feel the emotions thru the screen. Hope everyone had a good 4th. Went out for the 1st time yesterday to a movie and dinner with hubby. I REALLY am going to attempt to go to the ocean today. Need to call Doctor regarding blood tests today. hope live-feed comes back. Since Liberty and Belle are getting as famous as George and Martha, I don't know how these things work, but maybe some business, local or not would like to sponser the live-feed next year. I know it may not be possible because this is on Government property, but I'm just throwing it out there. Stay cool out there today.

Happy July 4th everyone I spent some of by 4th near our sycamore tree. THREE EAGLETS FLEW OUT OF TREE WHAT A SITE ON THE 4TH. Two were spotted sitting above nest. One on a limb highter that the other. Couldn't see the third from the other trees and leaves. Didn't think it was there. Turning of heads could be seen; very well. One looked on lower limb like Spunky couldn't tell if the other was MsInBetween which I think or Bigboy. As husband and me had eyes fixed to the tree. All of a sudden by bicolars were filled with wings. I took them away from face and 1st one eaglet flew from limb then immediately like a 4th of July firework going off the limb was nothing but wings spread wider than the nest, and again the 3rd one we couldn't spot till immediately it took off into the sky....3 sets of wide enormous wings.....took my breath away...set there in shock for awhile. What a display of "American Pride and Beauty". I felt like they knew we were watching and they needed to put on a 4th of July display of their own. And DID THEY!!! So wide is their wing span and no thought about leaving a limb to soar off into the sky. I never see such a show again this year like that one.I told each of them "hello" from all of you and how much they have been watched and prayed for. Even said alot of you live to far away to visit the tree area, and how much the people would love to be here to see you three. You eaglets should see the #'er of comments written about you three.I talked to them before they put on that display. Maybe they truly heard from my heart for all of you and did that so I would come home and write this to you all.
This is written from the three eaglets at the sycamore tree.

I truly feel that they can sense our spirits!!
There is a special spot of land
Where a strong sycamore tree stands
Beneath limbs and leaves is a nest
This large nest holds a story that
True as betold of American Eagles
Their names are Liberty and Belle
Three eaglets was born to them
The youngest of three born late
Story was told it would not live
With prayers miracles still happen
See it was three that left the nest
Flapping wings from limb to limb
Liberty and Belle encouraged them
Parents brought fish and turtles
Eaglets flew to the food learning
To mantle to protect what they ate
There was even some stealing
It's part of the plan to survive
The day now becomes the 4th of July
You see fireworks just wouldn't due
To celebrate the fourth the colors
I needed were Red, White and Blue
It was the 4th of July 2006
Then I recalled that sycamore tree
A touch of America waiting for me
When close to the sycamore tree
I felt the spirit of America within
My 4th of July would be well spent
Spotting on a limb an eaglet I seen
Looking even higher a second eaglet
My heart raced with awe of America
Truly this is Red, White and Blue
I looked for the third eaglet
Thinking it was not in the tree
One eagle was looking all around
I knew my time would be well spent
I told them a story of people
That loved and prayed for them
Some even came to visit their tree
Others could not make it I said
You see they lived too far to visit
Yet those people love you eaglets
As stillness settled after my talk
A movement I caught as one flew out
The wings of strength of an eagle
My mind was having many a thoughts
Wings of the first still in my eyes
When suddenly another flew up
I was surprised by seconds wings
Then with wings of the 2 eaglets
Still recording in my sights
A third eaglet flew out from behind
Making my eyes follow three eaglets
On this special 4th of July day
What a display of America I thought
I truly think they heard me
Telling the story of all of you
The three eaglets put on a display
For the Red, White and Blue
I know I'll never again in 2006
See such beauty, pride and strength
For in my eyes representing America
Is our Eagles Liberty and Belle
And the three eaglets of 2006
finished 11:22pm July 4th 2006
What a truly uniquely qonderful way to close my celebration of july 4 2006 Thanks W.Vagal-Vicki
Good night all
Happy July 4th all!
wvgal Vicky
