went to the bottom of the tree today and could not get a video signal on
the portable monitor. John and Mike are thinking on it, and if they come

Thanks for working on this problem... I sure hope that John & Mike get some real good thoughts - soon! I know the tree can't be climbed or we would risk scaring the adult eagles.
Maybe now is the time to put a camera in the other tree !!!! It would increase our chances of seeing the First Flight. Just an idea.

Actually, the adult eagles do tolerate human "closeness", i.e., banding the eaglets. This has been accomplished by USFWS specialists over at the Blackwater Refuge in cambridge. They tree climb to the nest to band, sex and even bring the eaglets down from the tree, as they were taking the eaglets to Vermont for their restoration project. See the Eagle cam web logs on the Blackwater site for more info. The adults generally fly over the nest and put up a ruckus during a "human" visit, but will return to their young.
Yes, John and Mike, if there is anything we can do to help, just let us know. LOL. This is hard but I guess we will all live. Maybe? Anxiously awaiting the return!

Sure is lonely without our eaglets to watch. Doesn't sound like our cam is a simple fix this time.

I sometimes do and say silly things when I am distraught - you know like panic-stricken.
Jo, I thought that little poem fit pretty good. I hate not being able to see anything about them. To the folks at NCTC, I am sure you are doing everything you can to fix this and we really do appreciate it. We are just a little anxious about missing that first flight since most of us have been here since they were just three little eggs. Thanks for all you do and the opportunity you have given us thus far to marvel in mother nature's work. It has been really lovely.
Ditto to what Sharon just said. Us Eaglet moms just worry that they are ok, which I have faith that they are.
Okay, the waiting and wondering is driving me nuts! Anybody else? I need to see what our babies are doing! :(

Hi Sharon: Your feelings are mutual. I am thinking of going to Shepherdstown tomorrow with my spy glasses just to see what I can see! I guess around lunchtime would be good as they usually have a feeding then. I'm not absolutely certain about driving down - but I sure am thinking of it! This is driving me crazy - I can't believe how lost I feel not seeing those little guys. Thanks for making a comment-I keep checking to see if there are any. I feel better since I've heard from you.
Hey Jo! I was thinking about driving down tomorrow too. My hubby will think I'm nuts, though! I will be going to NCTC on Friday night, but that's almost a week away!

I didn't get down to Shepherdstown like I had hoped to do today. Other things came up & the weather was nasty. I hope Steve makes a comment first thing tomorrow am so we know if any progress is being made with the cam repair. I'm just wondering if BigBoy's new perch right under the cam has anything to do with him 'beaking' the cable connection?
I am with you Jo. Steve, oh, Steve, please tell us there is a solution in progress. We are getting pretty desperate here.
Beyond desperate-- insane, can't believe we've been this long without them! I should be doing other things but I keep checking and checking and checking --
Me too Vicky. Checking and still nothing. Maybe with tomorrow being Monday, they will do something. I hope so. I am sure they will at least let us know something.
I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing withdrawals! I have to admit this has become MY addiction! They are better than desperate housewives by far!
Ok, PLEASE...enough is enough....let's get the camera fixed! This is absolutely heart breaking not to see our babies! I know everyone is trying, but it's been soooo long now, and I really, really miss them!
Steve, we are really begging and groveling -- Please let us see our babies. We are so close to first flight time and it would be a shame to have been watching these babies since they were in a shell and then miss taking their first flight. Amen! When I was up around 7am & everything was still down-I just went back to bed. Boy oh Boy! It is going to be a good Monday now. Thanks NCTC for giving us our life back! I wonder who had to climb the tree. Waiting anxiously for Steve's remarks. Yep! They sure do look big. I see Spunky over at BigBoy's old spot perching. Looks like Inbetween is the largest.

Thank goodness - Now I see all 3 of them...started to get that "empty nest" feeling in my stomach...Wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry....but all's well now that they are all accounted for! Thank you to everyone!
Thanks so much for all the hard work to get the cam up and running again, and thanks to everyone involved in all aspects of this incredible view into how Nature works. It's very humbling.

It is really good to have them back. My live feed went down too. It was a little wiggly so maybe they are working on that. I missed the big fish. Oh well, there is always supper!

1:55pm Jo-MD Ok? I am getting that multicolored bar across the top of my Cam & since they all appear to be napping, I can't tell if it is frozen. I didn't have a concern about Spunky, but I'll wait to see what Vicky meant by her comment. ALSO, does anyone else on the blog have that 'little trash can' under their comments? If I click on it, I can delete my comment - I am wondering if others can delete my comment - Does anyone else have it OR would someone open mine (you can cancel- you don't need to cancel my comment) Let me know. I'm probably just 'special' in some wierd way!
He's probably napping, all 3 were, but now 2 are up...there is also another big fish in the nest for the afternoon meal.
The little trash can is just under mine comments on mine so I guess we can only trash our own comments. Some people might want to trash mine but they can't. LOL.
Also, I don't have that stripe either. And I meant "my comments", not mine comments.
