Wednesday PM

Couple of observations:

You've probably noticed all three eaglets working their wings in the wind the past few days, although we think it will be another month before they're ready to fly. let's hope they don't get to "cocky" and find themselves blown out of the nest!

Also, the adults are now leaving the eaglets alone for parts of the day. There has been constant supervision until the past day or so, and that has been very importnant due to the coller temps and rain we've been having.

Was just watching some nest enhancements being done, with the help of the oldest eaglet. Good to see tht most of their feathers have come in, there's talk of more rain next week.

Rain

It is amazing watching the diligence of our adult eagles in protecting their youngsters from the rain. The youngest eaglet is still especially vulnerable as it has the fewest feathers grown in to help protect it from the rain.

Wow, lots of rain. No internet at my house.

Looks like rain today. The past week the eaglets have really started to fill in their feathers, and they have provided us with some precarious moments as they have perched at the edge of the nest. Remember they can't fly for some time yet...
