You also got WAX JUDYE. It's been a while for you, Enjoy !
Heading to the kitchen to throw a salad together, then on to News and Jeopardy. Wednesday night is probably my least favorite of the week, TV wise, so will be back to enjoy your company and our portrait studio !
LYNN, just a reminder, we love you dearly and even though we're having a heck of a lot of fun with Tom and some of your favorite things, we are praying non-stop.
Lynn so you don't have to open up all the email. Susan P. H_ _ _ sent this around video takes about 4 minutes and the music Lynn is great....Thanks Susan
Christie and I slipped down to the cafeteria for a bite to eat. Mom was attempting again at the blog but was falling asleep. Had to change her bed again, the heating pad for her shoulder spring a leak. We took another walk while they did the bed. She is getting a temp and her O2 was a little lower than they liked. I believe they are giving her a antibiotic. They are not wanting her to get pneumonia. So.....that is all I know for now. Heading back up to her room now. Xoxo
Thanks Jewels. I have been texting with her a little. She was still on yesterday's blog at 1 p.m. I told her to come to today's. It is more upbeat! :-)
Thanks Jewels prays for Lynn for all that she and the girls need right now Lord. You are there Lore you know what the needs are. I am asking you to do for Lynn whatever needs to be done for her recovery. Help the girls to feel your arms Lord around them. Knowing that you will carry Lynn and help her heal. Lord help Lynn breath and get good O2 into her lungs. God bring that fever down and keep it down for Lynn. Lord you said ask and ya shall receive so I am asking in Lynn's name. Thank you Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen
Ok...after asking the nurse, the low grade fever is ok....her white blood cells are doing there job and its the defense mechanism kicking in.... So don't worry, its all good!!
57 here and heading down into the 30's tonight. I like this! Have started packing...coats, gloves, sweatshirts....cold weather here we come! Temps over 100 for days on end can make you feel this way...believe me!
Well, I am glad to know that Lynn is getting to read the blog, but she certainly needs to come to today!!! Yesterday we were not a very cheerful, uplifting bunch, but we have regrouped and Momster Love has taken over!
And I must say the eye candy is pretty good on here this evening! Was just watching Dylan McDermott on Ellen and that right there is some pretty good eye candy too!!!
THANK YOU JEWELS. I appreciate the update. I am glad they have the fever as not being a cause for concern and that she is taking antibiotics. I hope they clear this infection out before they think of sending her home tomorrow...Friday might be a better day.
Sissy, Capt. Gene has been growing a beard for hunting season and your bearded Tom, reminded me of a little girl that Gene encountered in the grocery store the other day. Gene said she was 5 or 6, she asked him if he was TRYING to grow a beard, he said, Yes I am. She said well I think you have a pretty good start:) He doesn't grow a very heavy beard and it IS kind of straggly:)
With a low grade fever, the white cells are doing exactly what they are supposed to do.
Shoulder pain? I would say referred pain from surgery near her diaphragm. That is not fun. I had as much pain from that when they drained my liver abscess than I did from the drain site.
Oh, Margy, did you notice the Capt. beard, yesterday? I think it's cute. Asked him not to shave until he gets back from hunt camp.
BTW, every one of LORI'S cosmetics and toiletries found a new home last evening. All the women smelled of Vanilla perfume:) I didn't put the jewelry out yet.
MARGY..... and anyone who is interested! Report from birder at BWR
At Blackwater NWR today I had my FOS Tundra Swans, with a count of 36 total along the Wildlife Drive. At the end of the Drive I had my FOS Snow Geese on the Refuge, with 81 total, 70 of which were blue morphs. There were several Bald Eagles around, but not too many...fewer than 10 probably. Winds were strong and steady as I walked the trails, keeping it pretty quiet in terms of passerines.
At the upper bridge to Hooper's Island this afternoon I counted 132 Brown Pelicans, my life high count. (I'm pretty sure I saw more than that once at Oregon Inlet on the Outer Banks, but I wasn't counting then.) They were hanging out on the little pier right off the side of the road, making an exact count fairly easy. There appeared to be some more at a distance out over the Bay, but I wasn't able to count these. At one point, most of the group took flight at once...quite a sight at such close range.
Further down at the lower bridge, I found 8 Common Loons, and my FOS Buffleheads (a male and female).
I came up empty on ducks of any kind along the Choptank in Cambridge.
Oh Yay Lynne !! that does not surprise me, the Tundras as Blackwater...I am still listening and waiting... only time I heard them last year was a day like this.... daytime....flying south along the interstate here...could not see them for the clouds... Oh Joy ! Thank You !!
Yes, Lori has been wonderful with providing "Lady Items"...they love it. The place where I keep them is the first place most of the ladies head to, in the Closet!
I need to go eat something.... supposed to do that with the Naproxen-plus-something or other for my finger, seems to be helping...nice doctor gave me some free samples, to last 12 days... back after I feed my face... xo ♥
Oh PS Tonight is not computer hook up night...as I explained to Lori... I didn't want to take a chance of being off-line this week... will surely follow through soon as I can... Tom Sweetie probably won't be part of the equation... oh, maybe some lifting or moving things around, that's about it. Lori pretty much has everything all customized for me ☺ That's our Lori !
eat a little, talk a little, eat a little, talk a little, eat eat eat, talk a lot, talk a little bit... that's a take-off on a Gilbert and Sullivan ditty...
Sissy and Tom You are welcome....good mail service from this end of West Virginia alllllll the way to Bluefield, pretty good for 44-cents. xoxo (( Hugs ♥ ))
Time for something to eat here. Sounds like Lynn's day has gone pretty well. Prayers continue for her, and sending out another Group Hug. Time for a little R and R here. Iced Tea with my supper too "clink"
Paula I would say the chances are good that you will see Tundra Swans if you go to the Paradise this week-end...they like the Bay and the Eastern Shore...! xo
The local paper, The Nelson Star, published an article I wrote for them last week. The title is Keeping the Spirit of University Alive in Nelson. It does not matter to me that it made it on page 21...I am glad it made it at all.
Evening Everybody!!! Have about 1/2 of comments to read! Just came across your NASCAR request, Lynne. No,don't think Lynn nor I like Kyle Busch.Bratty bully! This is an older car carrier of Dale, Jr. You can see autograph if you enlarge. I happenened to pull up next to it on 301 near Upper Marlboro a few years ago! Lucky me! Of course Dale was not around. Gonna enjoy more Tom Selleck! Surprising that Lynn will come home already on Friday!!If I didn't have appts. tomorrow, I would try to get myself over there to VA. Blessings and Prayers for Lynn, Carolyn, & Christie & for wonderful Judie, our ambassador & clear liquid transporter!!!! Gotta eat some real food, then finish reading!! BBL
MARGY, I don't recognize your "Gilbert and Sullivan" refrain. It sounds more like one from The Music Man as in:
[Music Man]
{Refrain} Pick a little, talk a little, pick a little, talk a little Cheep cheep cheep, talk a lot, pick a little more {Three times} Pick a little, talk a little, pick a little, talk a little Cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep.............
JEWELS, once again, thank you for updating us. Do encourage your Momma to come to this thread. It's too hard to try to catch up with the old as much as we've chatted the last couple of days. Once she gets to our tribute via Avatars she may be less likely to fall asleep on it. However, sleep is good and she needs lots of it !!!!
thanks for all those suggestions, Lynne, very thoughtful of you to bring that to us...
and in all seriousness, I was just kidding around about the picture... All of them are very nice...am sure Lynn will REALLY enjoy this Beefcake Review...and the cheeseburger, ice cream, hearts and all the rest !
going to check your link, Hoda...Thanks in Advance... and then I'll keep my mapgie-ing down for awhile
Will Send Sweet Dreams Wishes now to Lynn and all the Family Gang! God Bless You, ALL xoxox ♥
Those purple light images are beautiful ! Good idea to use one Sunday, at least. I'll have to change to something for T'Day late that day. I leave for NJ Monday morning and while I expect to have the use of a computer now and then I don't believe I'll be able to change my avatar there.
I hope we hear from JEWELS soon to update us on LYNN...When do visiting hours shut down in her hospital I wonder? Over here visiting hours are over at 8:00 PM...it is now 9:00 PM back east...I want to know if she will be in the hospital again tomorrow? I hope so till her infection/fever is cleared...
No, LYNNE, I'll take USAir out of Port Columbus, landing in Philly where my son will pick me up !☺ I've always flown into Newark before, but he found the fares far more reasonable into and out of Philly. Guess it's because so many folks like to use Newark as their gateway to The Big Apple. It's about twice as far for him to drive, but he doesn't mind. I'd rather drive than fly anywhere, anytime, but it is kind of nice to leave here and be there in a little over an hour !
Oh, yes, HODA, visiting the 9/11 Memorial will be a highlight. We're going to drive to Staten Island, take the ferry over, see the Memorial and then have dinner before heading back to Joisey. Lee has made all the reservations. It will be the two of us, my dil, her father, my 16 year old grandson and his girlfriend. 6 of us.
Yes, PAULA, that trip into The City will be on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. We always go in for one thing or another, a play, some museums, etc., but this will be my first time at Ground Zero. I've not wanted to see it til' now, but feel it's time now that the Memorial is complete. I expect it to be an emotional experience. Have you been there ?
Hi Buds. I am caught up with you tues but can't get through today--keep nodding off. Thanks for all support and love. Yep---just my kind of luck..:( Oh, well.....love the avatars! And hating Christie's netbook---PiA!Judie bought hugs and clear liquids and lots of cheer!!! nioe visit--don't try to sned cards here---send to house, please! And no need to change votes just for me. Go with your heart!! Goodnight all!!
Thanks, SHARON, I thought for sure I was going to have to cancel the plan, but yes, God is good and I'm feeling good. Lee says it's walking distance from the ferry and then walking distance to the dinner spot, for avid walkers. However I'll be taking taxies. Can't walk far and not at the pace it would take to keep up with the youngun's. Thanks again to you and all Momster's for the prayers that brought me through that ordeal. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
LYNN, I am positively elated--everyone will be--over hearing directly from you ! We'll all sleep better tonight, for this is what we've been waiting for ! Rest well and be assured our prayers are with you. {{{{{{LYNN}}}}}}}}
I hate to leave such good company, but JUDIE's sandman is knockin' at my door. Prayers for LYNN and all on our list. Prayers of thanks to God for endowing us with a sense of humor and allowing us to have so much fun together ! I♥U, Eagle Buds ! Don't know how I got along without you for so long.♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
P.S. to LYNN. You know where SHARON and I have been with the name for REM all along. Everyone is going with their heart on it and we'll all be happy with whatever name wins, I'm sure. Sweet dreams !
Night Bandit has struck, big time! We sure miss Carolyn at work, she is sooo good at what she does at 911... but, everyone at the office knows she is where she needs to be...and it's MORE than OK !!
I see travels on the horizon! Lolly & Kay, have wonderful trips!
Re:Tundra swans---thx for original news, Margy on their departure & Lynne, thx for BW report. I have been looking and listening at Park. Think TU was too early, but I go there Sat. Hope some will stop by.
Lynn, hold that pillow while reading!!!☺ Pleasant Feather Dreams & Prayers for All ;>) XTRA Prayers for Lynn, family, Judie, Bev & Tom ☺
There ya go! I leave for a while and who shows up? Our special lady Lynn.
What a very special surprise. Thank you for just walking in the door. It's always open for you.
Cops were fun tonight but need to arise early for tomorrow's wannabe adults.
I believe Kay sent the sandperson back to the East coast.
Shirley, you may take the night off and I thank you for turning on the night light in my absence.
The night light is on for anyone needing to arise in the dark, headed back the hallway, up the stairs, OR FOR A WALK AROUND A NURSES STATION. Restful sleep for all, especially our Lynn.
Kay you are so right - I've heard from Lynn so now I can rest well tonight! Love you Lynn
Good night - I have a few tasks before bedding down. Prayers for our Lynn and for all of us, our family and our friends ! Hugs to all - especially to the caretakers of Lynn! ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Yea!!! Mom made a post!!!!! Thank you momma, you made everyone smile! Visiting hours are over at 8pm..... Don't begin till 11am and we come at 8am..... So we overstep in the morning and we leave when we are supposed too. Margy, you made me test up saying what you did about me and our job. Thankyou!!! We just left macys and coastal flats. Had the best pumpkin cheesecake!!
It was a real treat to hear from LYNN. She said she dozes off while trying to type. Been there, done that. It must have taken me an hour last night to get my post finished. I continued to POST while doing face plants, then had to delete twice. Going to say good night while I am awake (for now).
Love you LYNN...sleep well♥ Sleep well, everyone Prayers for all
Back from my bridge game. Got my new wireless mouse and am using it now. I really do not know what happened to the old one, but something was wrong before Hunter sat on it.
See that our Lynn posted tonight! Good on her.
Nice to see Judie back on here as well. Thanks for turning on the night light, Judie. I needed it when I came in from bridge. Didn't have to stumble around in the dark to find my recliner.
Get my holter tomorrow. Need to check the time I have to be there before I go to bed.
It has rained all day here. I bought some containers and potting soil for some of the bulbs. I am going to take the easy way out as much as possible, or I just won't get them planted.
Thanks Jewels/Caroln for popping in again. Yummy cheesecake yummy!!
Hope Lynn doesn't laugh to hard.
Sometimes we can really lay it on here in this blog.
Praying that Lynn/Hedgie get some good news tomorrow.
Prayers for all those that need them and those that I may have forgotten to write down but God knows who they are. Praises to God for all he has done for Lynn/Hedgie and others. Prayers for Gods creatures big and small.
Prayers that everyone sleep well.
Anyone that is or will be traveling may God give them safe journeys to and from.
Okay, I have to be at the cardiology place by 9:30 tomorrow morning. That should not be too bad.
Hated driving in the dark and rain tonight. They stopped playing a little early so I could make the drive home. Most of them live right in the same neighborhood, but I have to drive across town.
Going to say good night, God bless, and sweet dreams. I will see you tomorrow.
Wow, SO GOOD to hear from Lynn herself!! Wonderful to see that you posted a comment. Hope they give you some decent food soon, to keep your strength up! (((HUGE HUGS))) TO YOU!!! (Very gentle ones, though)
My new avatar tonight is another pic from the Anaheim Coves dedication. Must say, I like Tom better, though! Whew!
Judie, good to see you back here tonight! Appreciate the night light. No shin bruises from crashing into things! Hope your day with the "wannabes" tomorrow is a good one. Thanks again for being our ambassador and visiting Lynn for us! (((HUGS)))!!!
Glo, really good to see you here tonight, too! Miss you a lot! Hope you'll visit again really soon!
Got all my work for the doctor finished and sent back to them, so will have a little more free time. Have a few errands to run in the morning (package to mail, bank visit, store to stop at, etc.), but hope to be able to chat more for a couple of days.
Miss Emma sends her love to Lynn! She has been telling me some long, drawn-out stories today, and I'm just SURE that's what she's saying! She's such a rascal--she actually talks like the Siberian Husky we had years ago.
Golly, I'm really tired tonight. My brain is fried, and my eyes won't focus the way they should. Guess I'll go try to get some sleep, and get here (hopefully!) earlier tomorrow morning.
Have said prayers for everyone here, and especially for LYNN, and prayers, too, for all creatures. Making sure the porch light is on, and enabling both security systems. Sleep snug as a bug, everyone. God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you! :o] P.S.--Emma says, "Wroo, row, rowl, woo!"
I got in 15 minutes ago and the forum went very well and was very well attended considering we had a snow/sleet storm and the roads are a SHEET OF ICE!!!On my way out I saw one accident and two cars spun out!!!...With the GRACE OF GOD I made a safe trip both ways.
LYNN chimed in!!! How so very great to read her post.I felt very vry happy to see your avatar LYNN and to read your words. Thank you Dear Precious Lady.
JEWELS was here too...I am glad you enjoyed the pumpkin pie and you are sooooooooo right your MAMA'S posting made for HAPPY HEARTS and big smiles...Thank you for telling us the hours of the hospital visitations as I was very curious about that...you go early and I am glad they do not fuss about it...♥Carolyn♥ Christie♥ LYNN♥ you gals are the GREATEST.
OK I thnk I should not have activities in the evening...I am wide awake after the forum and participating in political debate for the Municipal elections on Saturday...I do hope I do not pull an all nighter...So I had better logg off and go do some yoga and take a hot bath...If I am awake I will see the eagles in the morning...that might be a good thing...I need restful sleep...
Insomnia again tonight. I hate this, especially when I have a morning appointment. I am hoping this appointment will not take too long, though. Then, I can nap.
Good morning everyone! I just put this on FB and wanted to put it on here as well. It is a bit long and I am sorry for taking up so much space.
On 11/20/1980, the Thursday before Thanksgiving, I left our home in Falls Mills to go pick Tom up at work in Bluefield. I left our sons, Adam and Aaron, home with a friend who was staying with us, Lori Glass and her daughter, Punkin. When we got back home around 5:30 that evening, our home was on fire and we lost our precious children, Adam and Aaron Riffe, and dear friends, Lori and Punkin Glass. Not one day goes by that we don’t miss them. Our lives have taken many twists and turns over the past 30 years to get us to where we are today. It is very important to us that people know they lived, loved, and laughed. Adam was 2-1/2 years old and Baby Aaron was only 8 months old. Adam loved to play basketball and loved pennies. He had blonde hair and brown eyes, like me. Tom coached little league then and Adam was the mascot for the team. Baby Aaron was just coming into himself a bit but he was a sweetheart. He had blue eyes and would have looked more like the Riffes, we think, than Adam did. He had an allergy to cigarette smoke and it took us a while to figure that out, but once we did, he thrived. (Remember, this was 1980 and it was not as taboo as it is now to smoke around children, although it should have been.) Becky (Mattie’s mommy) was their best friend in this world and she was only 5 when they died. They worshipped her so. It is so hard to imagine the men they would be now, grown with families of their own, we imagine. We are so grateful to have known and loved them, even for such a short time. Please remember us and our families this week as we, again, mourn the loss of these precious, precious lives. Prayers for the Glass and Tabor families, as they mourn also.
Oh Sissy, I never knew the whole story. Words are not enough to tell you how sorry I am you lost your precious children and friends. I can't even imagine your heartache. ((Big HUGS)) and prayers, or course for all. ♥♥♥♥
I whole heartedly agree that it is important to remember that they lived, loved and laugh. We will never forget.
Oh Sissy, I don't know what to say. Your heart must ache especially during these holiday seasons. I'm so sorry for your loss, I'm sure not a day goes by that you don't think of them.
oh Lisa on WJLA says lots of deer on the roads. Be careful if you are driving at this hour. I hope not though. We already had a run in with a deer, right Lori. Not fun!
Thank you all so much. It is a really hard time for us, but we have found joy and love and laughter in our lives again, thanks to wonderful friends and family and a loving God. The Thursday before Thanksgiving is harder for me than the actual date of the fire. Remember every single detail of that day like it happened yesterday.
But, it does not define us anymore. It is something that happened to us but it is not who we are.
Hope we get a visit this morning and can't wait to hear from Lynn again today. ((((HUGS))))
You and Tom are very strong. Many could not have suffered through such an accident and survive with their marriage intact. I'm sure your strong belief in God and in each other has helped you to move on in your life to a point of acceptance.
Sissy I am so sorry for You and Tom's and the rest of the family..the loss of your 2 children and your friend and her child. I know you know they are in HEAVEN....You Will One Day Be With Them Again.
Someone sent this to a friend that lost her child. It is called Precious Child by Karen Taylor FOR YOUR CHILDREN IN HEAVEN ♥♥
I know you have all the memories of what happened and you have SURVIVED ... You Are A SURVIVOR. GOD BLESS YOU AND LOVES YOU

Good Evening All Eagle Pals...
Whew! My heart is racing....there are some Powerful Pictures on Here!!
You are a Great Reporter, Carolyn, a Chip off the Old Block ☺
oh dear Margy, is this the night YOUR Tom Sweetie is coming to wire you up? Didn't mean to get you all hot and bothered prior to the visit....
You know, Margy...I do love our flag, however (roflmbo) I do like to look at the other avatars more.
With a low grade fever, the white cells are doing exactly what they are supposed to do.
Shoulder pain? I would say referred pain from surgery near her diaphragm. That is not fun. I had as much pain from that when they drained my liver abscess than I did from the drain site.
Here, here, Lolly!
Shew, what fine avatars we have!
My toasting clink has to come from iced tea!
Just got a message from Aric. He got the food I sent, but the Doritos got crushed along the way. Oh well he said, they will still taste the same!
I do hope it is clear, Sharon! lol
Yes, I am leaving all the Guy Stuff up to you guys....
I saw that up and coming beard, Wanda...the Captain looks mighty spiffy !!!
Hey, Lynn.....are you catching up? Hurry up, girl, you are slow!!!! Love you!
Oh, Margy, did you notice the Capt. beard, yesterday? I think it's cute. Asked him not to shave until he gets back from hunt camp.
BTW, every one of LORI'S cosmetics and toiletries found a new home last evening. All the women smelled of Vanilla perfume:)
I didn't put the jewelry out yet.
UP AND COMING BEARD...LOL, Margy. Good name for it:)
MARGY.....
and anyone who is interested!

It was Lynne that suggested the Stars and Bars....☺
I can believe how enjoyable the gathering of gifts must have been for the gals, Wanda....
It's NICE to feel like a lady ☺
That's Our Lori !!!
and it was I who mentioned the Stars and Bars, in the confederate flag sense! She has one, Stubby gave it to her!
Oh Yay Lynne !! that does not surprise me, the Tundras as Blackwater...I am still listening and waiting...
only time I heard them last year was a day like this....
daytime....flying south along the interstate here...could not see them for the clouds...
Oh Joy ! Thank You !!
Gioing to go heat up some dinner. Company last night....left overs tonight. Such is life!
oh sorry, I guess I was thinking Stars and Stripes...but you surely posted Stars and Bars...
this is all I have...
Yes, Lori has been wonderful with providing "Lady Items"...they love it. The place where I keep them is the first place most of the ladies head to, in the Closet!
I saw that brief little appearance by Jayden on here (your avatar)
earlier, Wanda...so adorable !!
Sounds like a wonderful day for JAKE HALL, all critters that I have never seen!
They arrested the idiot who fired at the White House Friday night!!! Good on them.
Carolyn sent me a message...that her Mom is Wowing everyone there...
I can believe that !!
That's our Lynn !! ☺ ♥
(( Hugs ♥ )
and how Perfect it is that Judie is able to be there....
sure would LOVE LOVE LOVE to head to Blackwater this weekend....
Of to take HOT HOT HOT shower. Seems I have developed a cough. Then I will drink more hot green tea when I return!
yeppers! That's our Lynn!
I need to go eat something....
supposed to do that with the Naproxen-plus-something or other for my finger, seems to be helping...nice doctor gave me some free samples, to last 12 days...
back after I feed my face...
xo ♥
Somehow I am not surprised MARGY. Good on LYNN, forever the charmer...
Oh PS
Tonight is not computer hook up night...as I explained to Lori...
I didn't want to take a chance of being off-line this week...
will surely follow through soon as I can...
Tom Sweetie probably won't be part of the equation...
oh, maybe some lifting or moving things around, that's about it.
Lori pretty much has everything all customized for me ☺
That's our Lori !
Hoda!
Your Heart is beautiful...an I don't mean just your avatar !
xo ♥
eat a little, talk a little, eat a little, talk a little, eat eat eat, talk a lot, talk a little bit...
that's a take-off on a Gilbert and Sullivan ditty...
Sissy and Tom
You are welcome....good mail service from this end of West Virginia alllllll the way to Bluefield, pretty good for 44-cents. xoxo (( Hugs ♥ ))
Time for something to eat here. Sounds like Lynn's day has gone pretty well. Prayers continue for her, and sending out another Group Hug. Time for a little R and R here. Iced Tea with my supper too "clink"
Good Evening Glo....very good to see you here today...
and that's a Way Cool Picture of the Other Tom Sweetie... ☺
Ice cold Mineral Springs water for me....Clink !
Paula
I would say the chances are good that you will see Tundra Swans if you go to the Paradise this week-end...they like the Bay and the Eastern Shore...!
xo
Margy, glad the naproxen is helping! I couldn't function without it!
OH PAULA.....sure hope you're getting to the shore this weekend....are you far from Blackwater?
I have Nettied my sinuses, scrubbed and steamed soothed, and I'm drinking another cup of hot green tea. Feeling good!
How is your sinus issue progressing Bev?
Dinner is over, jubby has built a fire and I am watching X-Factor. Have not watched it much, but thought I would tonight.
Can I see more of the bottom half of that avatar, Lolly ??? ☺
The local paper, The Nelson Star, published an article I wrote for them last week. The title is Keeping the Spirit of University Alive in Nelson. It does not matter to me that it made it on page 21...I am glad it made it at all.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh Margy! Shame on you!!! LOL Just use your imagination!!!
M A R G Y !!!!
Oh, wow....congratulations, Hoda! That is just fantastic!
I just found out that November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, and many cities will be holding "purple light" vigils this coming Sunday evening.
Perhaps we should hold our own this weekend
that was kind of brash, wasn't it...
I just can't help myself...seeing all these pictures !!
okay, imagination in gear
Hoda! Congratulations, Lynn our Journalist will be proud of you also!
Maybe, you can post us a link for the article ??
BBL
that's fantastic Hoda!!
Tom has a twitter account. I will ask if he can tweet us a pic of the lower half.
I can find a purple lightbulb.. to put in my outdoor lamp fixture...it is always blue to honor Law Enforcement...
good suggestion Lynne, I'm in !
MARGY, I don't recognize your "Gilbert and Sullivan" refrain. It sounds more like one from The Music Man as in:
[Music Man]
{Refrain}
Pick a little, talk a little, pick a little, talk a little
Cheep cheep cheep, talk a lot, pick a little more
{Three times}
Pick a little, talk a little, pick a little, talk a little
Cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep.............
That's Boss, Loretta!
Sharon...☺
Here is the link to the article.
Keeping The Spirit of University Alive in Nelson
Scroll towrds the bottom of the pafe on the right hand side past Community and the lkink is there...
I hope LYNN, our resident journalist, would approve...
SHARON, ask Tom to join us in a clear liquid toast to LYNN. Then tweet,"bottoms up" and see what happens !
geesh, am I going to have to throw a bucket of clear, COLD WATER on you ladies????? LMBO!
I'll have to see if I can find a purple light somewhere for our outside light. And a good purple candle or light for my avatar.
This is a more direct link Keeping the Spirit of University Alive in Nelson
wow, if you just google "purple light" images, there are many beautiful pictures to choose from if you would like to change your avatars for Sunday!
Good on you, HODA ! You are our Nelson Star !!!!
thanks for the Jr avatar Lorretta!
LORETTA, neat avatar ! LYNN will love it !
thanks for all those suggestions, Lynne, very thoughtful of you to bring that to us...
and in all seriousness, I was just kidding around about the picture...
What fun. Love you Margy!!
Those purple light images are beautiful ! Good idea to use one Sunday, at least. I'll have to change to something for T'Day late that day. I leave for NJ Monday morning and while I expect to have the use of a computer now and then I don't believe I'll be able to change my avatar there.
Mapgie-ing, MARGY ?
Kay, will you take 70 to the PA turnpike through Philly and into NJ?
they are pretty aren't they? and it doesn't have to be a purple light BULB, just a pretty purple light!
Back from Cohen's party!
Love love love all the avatars!
Thanks for the video, JudyE...looked like Belle in the nest first, then REM flew in
Trying to get caught up to ya'll!
KAY it is so exciting about your trip on Monday. Check in whenever you can. Tell us about your impressions of the 9/11 memorial at Ground Zero.
OK I will head out again to now attend the forum and I will see you when I come back. I hope it is well attended and that people are civil.
Cool, Kay, you are going to the 9/11 memorial?
oh DUH, Kay...don't know WHY I though you were driving!
heading to bed.....will check in from work tomorrow! Goodnight and prayers for all!
I am going to bed myself. Will watch a little boob toob for a bit. Good night to all my eagle budlets!
Lynn, if you get this far, good night and rest well. I love you lots and will text or talk with you tomorrow! Prayers abound!
guess we'll be dreaming of cheeseburgers, peanut butter ice cream, NASCAR, margaritas and TOM SELLECK!!!
6 of us.
Kay, I am so glad you are feeling well enough to do that! What a feat you have accomplished. God is good all the time!
Here Sharon, it was the best I could do with your Tom request!
LOVE YOU LYNN!!
Paula -- OMG. Thank you friend. ROFLMAO.
Or Tom with clear liquids? ☺
LYNN, I am positively elated--everyone will be--over hearing directly from you ! We'll all sleep better tonight, for this is what we've been waiting for ! Rest well and be assured our prayers are with you. {{{{{{LYNN}}}}}}}}

Oh, Margy, check out Paula'a avatar!
MARGY, be sure you enlarge PAULA's avatar. He's quite the package, isn't he ? No wonder LYNN loves those weekly dates with him !
Well, I had to look twice and enlarge Paula's avatar!☺
That's our Hedgie! Golly I miss her so much... ♥

Kay you are so right - I've heard from

Sometimes is REALLY PAYS to pull a Margy....sneaking back in and seeing Jewels the Jewel on here!
Sleep Tight, Sweetness II
xoxox ♥
It was a real treat to hear from LYNN. She said she dozes off while trying to type. Been there, done that. It must have taken me an hour last night to get my post finished. I continued to POST while doing face plants, then had to delete twice.
Going to say good night while I am awake (for now).
Love you LYNN...sleep well♥
Sleep well, everyone
Prayers for all
Carolyn, we do appreciate your reports. Thanks so very much!
Recently cut out a recipe for praline pumpkin cheesecake. Gonna have to try making it!
Every one is turning out the lights and turning on the night lights.....guess I better start winding down.
Night all! Sweet dreams!
Hi,
Back from my bridge game.
So good to hear from our "Sweet Lady Lynn/Hedgie.
Time to put this cheeseburger to bed.
Morning to the morning crew!!!! (:
Night Lynn/Hedgie LOVE YOU♥
Okay, I have to be at the cardiology place by 9:30 tomorrow morning. That should not be too bad.
Hated driving in the dark and rain tonight. They stopped playing a little early so I could make the drive home. Most of them live right in the same neighborhood, but I have to drive across town.
Going to say good night, God bless, and sweet dreams. I will see you tomorrow.
Hi, Everyone,
Wow, SO GOOD to hear from Lynn herself!!
Good night and God Bless.
Insomnia again tonight. I hate this, especially when I have a morning appointment. I am hoping this appointment will not take too long, though. Then, I can nap.
Not going to say much. Had milk and peanut butter and jelly sandwich. A doctor told me to do this when I can't sleep.
Sorry you are having trouble too, Hoda. I often have problems winding down after an evening event. Mine tonight was bridge.
Good night!
Changing avatar to Lynn's favorite Redskin, #47, Chris Cooley!
It was so wonderful to read your post LYNN and hope that means you are feeling so much better.
(((BIG HUGS))) and hope you get home soon, like today!
Good Morning Lori (:
Hoping Carolyn, Christie and Lynn was able to get some sleep.
Tilted the laptop screen allows you to see the nest real good this early.
Neat avatar Lori Lynn will like it (:
Shirley glad you made it home across town in the dark ok.
Hoda those roads sound like they were really slippery.
Good to see Lynn's post last night! Yay!
Nest is dark, waiting for daylight.
oh Lisa on WJLA says lots of deer on the roads.
Morning is breaking on our beautiful nest! What a joy to get to see it again! Now, where are those eagles???
I hope you get your visit today, Sissy! Keep calling them!
They were late yesterday. I hope they arrive earlier today. I missed them yesterday. Come on Eagles!!!
BOTH EAGLES IN THE NEST!
BEAKING OR AGGRESSION? MUST BE MALE ON THE LEFT...BELLE ON THE RIGHT?
Sissy I am so sorry for You and Tom's and the rest of the family..the loss of your 2 children and your friend and her child. I know you know they are in HEAVEN....You Will One Day Be With Them Again.
Someone sent this to a friend that lost her child. It is called Precious Child by Karen Taylor
FOR YOUR CHILDREN IN HEAVEN ♥♥
