paula eagleholic said...

Thank you for your hard work, John, Mark, Steve and crew

Mema Jo said...

I started the Momster Album for this week. If you look at the pics in Momster you will realize that JO is aka Sharon, Dana, Jill, Paula, Mits and many others who contribute pics! Jo is just a middle person who shares with those who need to know the wonders of OUR eagles!

Steve, a sincere thank you to you and John & Mike. Oh how I pray the cam doesn't give you guys anymore problems this season!
John, how about a 5 sec refresh since the live cam is still up in the air?

MITS said...

I put corned beef and cabbage in the crock-pot, Glo, didn't get a chance to do it Saturday...dinner around 7:30p.m. So hop a flight if you want.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Just got home from visiting Mommy. I walked in the door and what to my wondering eyes would appear -- but our CAM IS UP!!! Yeah!

paula eagleholic said...

I'll be eating leftovers or TV dinners!

Mema Jo said...

I have a feeling that I may not get to exercises this afternoon........
But then I know you all will comment and take good pics.
Move it over a little, Lib!

paula eagleholic said...

Steven, make sure you keep John around, he has the magic touch!

MITS said...

Paula, just hop on down 270:).

MITS said...

Glad you ar back, Sharon, How is Mommy?

paula eagleholic said...

Glad to see the snow is almost gone

paula eagleholic said...

IDK, maybe I will have some fish in celebration of the cam being back up!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

The suspense is killing me!

paula eagleholic said...

You could hear a pin drop in here!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Mommy is sleeping a lot. The doctor hasn't come in yet but her BNP is elevated which could mean congestive heart failure. No report on chest x-ray yet this morning.

paula eagleholic said...

LOL, Sharon!

paula eagleholic said...

LOL, Sharon!

Mema Jo said...

Can you believe he might not move until 4:00...... He wouldn't do that to us - would he?

Let's all concentrate

Move Lib
Move Lib
Move it on over!

paula eagleholic said...

Sharon, NOT LOL about your Mom. About your other comment. Hope your Mom improves! Did you ever get the dog in there to visit?

Mema Jo said...

Glo Your comment about us being bi-polar is sooooooo fitting!
lol

MITS said...

I don't think any of us are moving:):).

kirine said...

Lib really needs to move his behind.

Thank you so much for getting the cam working again!!! *big hugs to all involved* =) =)

Mema Jo said...

STEVE

DO NOT

I REPEAT... DO NOT

LET JOHN GO HOME YET!

MITS said...

NOOOOO CAM STOP IT.

paula eagleholic said...

That was an almost moved his butt....

Mema Jo said...

Fiddle with you Lib

COME ON HOME BELLE

kirine said...

From the way Lib is looking around we might have a switch soon. And from the way he keeps looking inside the nest, I'd say at least 1 eaglet in there.. now if only we could get verification.

Move Lib move!!!

paula eagleholic said...

Whatever is under there is not cold!

paula eagleholic said...

Yup, keeping a real vigilant watch out.

MITS said...

He has been snacking on stuff by his beak.

paula eagleholic said...

LOL, Sunny, she certainly deserves it, doesn't she!

Mema Jo said...

OK I say at least 2 eaglets are in there if not all 3.

Mema Jo said...

Yes, Mits. I am hoping he can't reach it and has to get up to get it
lol

paula eagleholic said...

NOW the suspense is killing me!

MITS said...

I'm thinking all 3:):).

paula eagleholic said...

I'll go for 2 eaglets, 1 egg.

Mema Jo said...

On the polls:All voted that the first 2 eggs would be hatched by now.
The 3rd egg to hatch has a lot of votes for today; however, there are votes cast for later dates this week.

Mema Jo said...

Man, I have not had to be this strong for a long time.
I am putting on my gym shoes with tears in my eyes and heading out the door to exercise. My heart is just not in it but my body is saying You Better Go!

Keep the eagle eyes open!

Jill said...

Okay this is really killing me because I am on dial up, one of our lines is messed up so I can't keep this stupid computer up for long. ARGHHHHHHH will check back a little later.

Mema Jo said...

Didn't leave yet - 2 eggs...

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I didn't see an eaglet but it could have been under the grass!

paula eagleholic said...

I saw 2 eggs and no eaglet.

MITS said...

I see 2 eggs, and no chick:(.

glo said...

well I know I saw 2 eggs
thats all I know

Jill said...

Just before I left, I saw two eggs and something near the top of the nest that may have been an eaglet. Wouldn't swear to it but couldn't have been. Had to come back to see what all of you saw. Guess we mostly saw the same thing. Will check back later.

MITS said...

SHARON WHICH ADDRESS ARE WE USING FOR YOU TODAY???

glo said...

OK when I blow it up I don't want to get anyones hopes up or down but there mayb be an eaglet about 7 o'clock holding its neck up actually pretty good. It owuld be in its 3rd day by now
I hope I'm right that would be such good news. I feel very confident those 2 eggs are fine though and mom and Dad are very diligent parents and have maintianed excellent care of each other and the nest.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Well, Mits, it looks like frontier might be working okay today so lets try that.

MITS said...

3rd egg was laid 35 days ago today, Feb 12th.

paula eagleholic said...

No matter which way I look at it, I only see 2 eggs.

MITS said...

Okie -dokie, Sharon.

MITS said...

LIVE FEED IS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

NillaWafer said...

Paula i am with you on this call i only see 2 eggs in full view.. I took apicture n zoomed in but only saw 2 eggs... MTBR i suppose... Beautiful weather here in MARTINSBURG.. compared to what we had last week... Off to work i go 39 days til Florida vacation!!!!!! softfeather

paula eagleholic said...

Thank you Mits. I had given up on that. Didn't even check it today. Steve, I hope you are taking John and Mike out for drinks and dinner!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

As if we don't have enough stress in our lives!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

THANK YOU MITS. I CHECKED ABOUT 10 MINUTES AGO!!!!!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

THANKS TO WHOEVER GOT THE LIVE FEED UP FOR US!! FOREVER GRATEFUL!

MITS said...

Doing the waddle.

glo said...

some of you have mail, don't have all the email addresses but dud sed picture of what I saw

paula eagleholic said...

That was only an egg roll, not even a thought of a chick, to me. I think if we had an eaglet, we don't any more. There was an awful lot of snow in that nest that Belle was trying to clear out.

MITS said...

Yep, Paula, they don't waddle, usually, when a chick is there.

MITS said...

Guess all we know for sure is that there are 2 eggs in the nest now, and the fate of the other is unknown, but the weather there was really bad.

paula eagleholic said...

Cam is OK, Sunny.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

LIVE FEED GONE AGAIN!

paula eagleholic said...

Mine is gone, too. Still cam is up. :)

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Yes, still cam is up and for that I am REALLY GRATEFUL!

paula eagleholic said...

OK, so it looks like we are waiting on eggs to hatch.

paula eagleholic said...

Where has Dana been?

Steve Chase said...

We were really surprised that the live feed came on. We have big obstacles with the Department of the Interior computer folks about our live feed. We are trying to solve them but it is extremely frustrating.

Our take on the eggs is that we probably have lost the first chick. Keep in mind that statistically, having three eaglets two years in a row is pretty rare. Add in the nasty weather and nature can be very cruel.

MITS said...

Sad:(.

paula eagleholic said...

Yes, Steven, I think Mother Nature spared us (cam watchers). The cam being down may have been a blessing in disguise.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Paula, I was thinking the same thing. That was an awfully big snow on the very day it hatched. I would rather it happen now than later. It is what it is, right Mits! I just pray the other 2 eggs are okay.

paula eagleholic said...

We are watching Mother Nature, in all her glory and cruelty.

MITS said...

Yep, Sharon that is correct and God knows what He is doing. This is sad ,but not a tragedy. Too many things in this world quailify for that description, and all of us have gone thru some type or other in our lives.

paula eagleholic said...

Just rolled the eggs.

MITS said...

Yep, you are right, Paula.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Live feed is back.

kirine said...

Awww.. Poor Belle. She did everything she possibly could to keep those eggs and the eaglet warm.

I am glad that the cam was down for that though. Definitely a blessing in disguise.

I hope that the other two eggs are unscathed from that rather brutal snow storm.

MITS said...

Thanks, Sharon.

MITS said...

Feeding time at VA

Sandy said...

:-( sometines mother nature is so hard to understand....

paula eagleholic said...

quick change of position and check, and back down on the eggs facing noon

MITS said...

Finishing the final morsels of food to the right in our nest, getting comfy.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Belle just flew in!!

MITS said...

And my live feed went down just after she arrived.

MITS said...

She brought herself something to eat.

MITS said...

No doubt there are just 2 eggs left with these pics.

paula eagleholic said...

Clear as day

Sandy said...

yep, but she's not sitting on the eggs....

pretty clearly only 2 though.... :-(

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I have to go out for a few minutes. Keep an eagle eye out!

Sandy said...

Hey Paula, Mits!!

kirine said...

Live feed was up just long enough for me to see Belle fly in, and Lib get off the nest. Clearly two eggs. :(

paula eagleholic said...

You can almost see the snow melting! Good, get outta here! Spring is Wednesday. NO MORE SNOW!

MITS said...

Hey, Sandy....how's it going?

Sandy said...

there ya go Belle...take care of those 2...poor thing.

I wonder is eagles grieve....

doing ok...home with a nasty cold from playing the the mountains of western NC this weekend..but it was fun.

Sandy said...

ok...how do I get a picture beside my name????

MITS said...

LOL...I always have Sharon, put my pics on Sandy, but Paula can direct you where to go on the momster site.

MITS said...

snow just about gone in nest.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Hey Sandy, it is a process but doable. I think the instructions are on the eaglet momsters. I can help if you want!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Going to Beverly's (sister) to take her a birthday cake. I will be back in a little while. She is old - 48 years!! :):):)

Mema Jo said...

Shame on you, Sharon for telling everyone your sister's age - lol

Mema Jo said...

Hi Carol - I think all 3 are ok in VA

MITS said...

Watch it Farley....48 is not old...some of us are a tad older than that....lol!

Mema Jo said...

Going to my table to eat dinner
BBILW

Mema Jo said...

Looks as though Belle is having dinner also. Good view of our 2 eggs in the egg well.

MITS said...

what is she going after, her head keeps going side to side.

MITS said...

now she is looking backwards.

MITS said...

maybe Lib is flying by.

MITS said...

feeding time at BW.

MITS said...

feeding time at VA, the little one is trying hard to get food, usually succesful when the two older ones are pecking at each other.

MITS said...

Good job VA mom, she is feeding the little one, in spite of the protests of the other two.

MITS said...

might be raining at the nest, she is tenting.

paula eagleholic said...

Must be raining in Shepherdstown, eagle is tenting.

paula eagleholic said...

NOt tenting any more, tucking grasses in.

paula eagleholic said...

Gotta go get some dinner and walk the dogs.

MITS said...

eagle at KENT branch.

paula eagleholic said...

Well, I had dinner, but no walk tonight - raining and a cold 44° - Dogs will have to wait till tom night!

Belle looks tucked in for awhile.

MITS said...

BOTH EAGLES AT KENT.

MITS said...

That was a fast visit, one still on branch.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I love how the Kent eagles sit up on that limb and there is a camera there for us to see. The three views are wonderful.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

How is everyone this evening?

MITS said...

And whichever one is sitting there on the branch is doing alot of calling out. How are you doing my eagle-buddy, Sharon?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

My mother's poor dog is walking around again just whining. She is pitiful when Mommy is not here. Didn't hear a thing out of her after Mommy got home.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I am doing good, Mits, and you?

Mema Jo said...

Hello you 2 eagle buddies.
I am so glad to NOT see snow in OUR
nest.
We very well should be looking for
a hatching at least by tomorrow.
It's hard getting too excited when we know we lost one..... I hope that
OUR 2 eggs are fertile!

MITS said...

Doing good, How long do you think Mommy is going to be in the hospital?

Mema Jo said...

I put your pictures on the Momster site - thank you very much you two for taking them. Hopefully tomorrow we will see a cracked egg.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Mommy will get to come home tomorrow or Wednesday. She has a touch of congestive heart failure if I haven't already told you all that.

MITS said...

Well, that can be taken care of thru the right medicine, thanks Jo.......Yep. really sad news, but hopeful for the remaining eggs.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Yes, it sure can.

I too remain hopeful for the remaining 2 babies!

Mema Jo said...

Kent eagles are out and about again.

MITS said...

one is back at KENT.

Mema Jo said...

The KENT couple are back!!!

MITS said...

little buggers, both are back.

Mema Jo said...

Get that pic Sharon - both on the tree...........

paula eagleholic said...

I too am saddened by today's developments...it certainly was not what anyone expected when the cam came back up. But nature is unpredictable. Personally, I would rather have it this way than what we could have seen.

Belle is tenting big time now.

Mema Jo said...

She sure is tenting big time, Paula.
We are starting to get some more showers now. It had stopped. I guess it will be off and on.

sandyshaw said...

Hello, everyone. Just stepped out the back door, no rain, warm. Don't know why eagle is tenting. My daughter-in-law and I went out for a Thelma and Louise expedition today to Charles Town, then came back and drove out to the nest, but could see nothing. Sorry. So sad about the lost baby. Fingers crossed for the others. Haven't had time to check the other cams today, hope pandas are ok.

Mema Jo said...

Hi Sandra, Everything else eagles, falcons and pandas seem to be ok. Haven't been able to get the NE nest up for a couple of days.
So glad to hear you had a free fun evening! You so deserved it!

Mema Jo said...

I am going to call it a day and hope to see a hatching tomorrow.........

Good Night Everyone
Pleasant dreams and Peaceful sleep
Prayers being said for all

Good Morning Suzanne

MITS said...

Right behind you again, Jo. GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE

paula eagleholic said...

Belle is not tenting anymore and appears to be snoozing....calling it a night here too, with hopes of an eaglet tomorrow!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Dark at Kent and you can still see the eagle on the branch. That is so cool.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Good night and sweet eagle dreams, my friends of fine feathers and fur. Have a wonderful peaceful night!

CamsGrammy said...

Live feed is up !!!!

kirine said...

Thanks for the heads up on the live cam. :)

LOL as if I needed another distraction from homework this morning.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Thanks so much for letting us know about the live feed.

Suzanne, we believe the hatched eaglet didn't make it through the snow storm. We saw no sign of it yesterday.

kirine said...

Lib's on the nest now. Belle just flew off. No signs of cracks in the shells yet. They've been doing nestorations to the egg cup itself, maybe trying to increase the insulation.

normabyrd said...

paula eagleholic said...

Good to see the NE cam back up too.

paula eagleholic said...

And whomever decided to bless us with the live feed this morning....

Thank you

Egg roll our nest

paula eagleholic said...

You can still see a slight size difference in the BW chicks...they look so cute w/ their feathers coming in.

paula eagleholic said...

Look at the crop on the biggest! He is stuffed!

Sandy said...

Me too....can't play. Take notes please..

Mema Jo said...

Good Morning everyone
Great to see Liberty checking out his eggs. Thanks Paula for the Spring Alert! Hopefully one of our little chicks will spring out of that shell today.

paula eagleholic said...

Egg roll, again

paula eagleholic said...

That was a Suz spring alert!

I'll be happy to announce it again tho. Spring arrives at 8:07pm tonight!

normabyrd said...

NOW WE KNOW!!!---2 EGGS---ALSO both seem to be interested in fixin' the nest----

paula eagleholic said...

Belle has arived and brought her own breakfast and some grass

Mema Jo said...

I was checking out the Falcon cam down in VA- this is the pair that lost their 1st egg (could even have rolled off the ledge) Yesterday Mits and others including myself saw that they had returned and the 2nd egg was there. This morning I can't see that egg so I emailed and will let you all know whether I am blind as a bat or if the egg has rolled again!
Mits won't be on until evening hour today- she usually does this correspondence work for us...

paula eagleholic said...

Lib took off to the right rear, 2 eggs in view

Mema Jo said...

Thank you Paula! lol
I guess I read through the blog too fast this morning.

Anybody see any cracks yet?

paula eagleholic said...

She is done eating and is back on the eggs

paula eagleholic said...

Nope, not yet, Jo.

paula eagleholic said...

She just checked the eggs again, tho.

normabyrd said...

BUTA BUTA---"Look Mom---No Hands"-----I think we should start calling her "SLEEPY"----BEAUTIFUL!

WOW!---BELLE is really doing some SPRING CLEANING----Busy--Busy--

paula eagleholic said...

A lot of grass rearranging today...probably trying to get the nest to dry out.

paula eagleholic said...

Well she wasn't checking the eggs, she was digging in the nest cup again and pulling out more fluff, now rearranging it around her.

normabyrd said...

JO---I noticed the Falcon Egg was missing this a.m.--along with the Falcon----James River Falcon is setting on eggs---I saw one & more---couldn't count----Also the NE cam is working----

paula eagleholic said...

Well I don't think the 3rd egg is gonna hatch today if the 2nd hasn't hatched yet!

Mema Jo said...

I thought that the NE nest would have that snow melted. I love that nest but it looks so out in the open

paula eagleholic said...

Sunny, last year the second egg took 38 days to hatch.

paula eagleholic said...

I wonder if it will take longer because it was colder this year than last

paula eagleholic said...

Last year egg 1 and 3 were 36 days. Egg 2 was 38 days.

paula eagleholic said...

I can't believe those BW chicks are eating again - what little piglets!

Mauley said...

I definitely rode the short bus to school. I have been on the wrong feed for a day. In a way, it saved me the sorrow of losing the first chick for one day. I am glad I didn't know yesterday. When I don't show up for a day, somebody come get me off the short bus. Being lost for a day, losing the chick, very sorry. So Sad. Mema Jo, thanks for coming to get me. I will try to do better. donna

paula eagleholic said...

Mauley, I'm glad you were found!

paula eagleholic said...

VA is down

Mema Jo said...

We are all still waiting and watching! Gonna be a long day!

kirine said...

Wow. Whoever is on the nest is really doing some modifications to the nest cup itself.

It looks like (to me) that they dug deeper into the nest for the cup. Those eggs look like they are further in. I don't know if it's all the "building up" around the outside or what.

paula eagleholic said...

Did some more digging, I think she's headed for China!

Mauley said...

Am watching live feed who is on the nest donna

Mauley said...

Our nest

kirine said...

LOL Paula.. I think she knows she is being watched and she's planning on keeping us in suspense by making it harder to see ;)
