They have been really tough this morning. They have eaten well, fought pretty good and exercised quite a bit!

Hello all my fellow 'eaglet groupies'. Mom sure has been haning around for a long time today. I wonder if it's because of the weather. They're so much easier to see on cloudy days, without all the harsh shadows.

Sunny,
I was just thinking the same thing about Mom. I think she wants to make sure they are ok, this is their first windy, stormy day without Mom or Dad shielding them.
Really cute to see them all snugged up together.

They have the wing flapping thing going on right now. I guess trying to get dried out a little bit. Yeah, I kept waiting for Mom to spread her wings over them to shelter them but her wings probably won't go big enough to cover these three little monsters anymore. My, oh, my, I do love these babies and I love their Momma for having them!! :)

Looks like one of our babies couldn't wait for Momma to feed him that fish that's been laying in the nest all day...he's tackling it now!

Did anybody see Big Boy almost fall off the side? I felt like I was going to have a heart attack!!! He needs to be face first instead of back first. A good strong wind would take him on off of there.

Sharon, I had to quit watching for awhile this afternoon. I thought for sure he was going to go over. It was so windy. I wasn't online when the heavy rain moved through, but they all look like drowned rats, now! I hope they get a chance to dry out!

We have been monitoring the eagles nest since they were in there eggs. They have been the talk of are meetings almost every week. We found this site when we were working on our Environmental Science merit badge. We learned so much about endangered animals and plants. Its been great to watch these eaglets frow every day. Were all glad to see they are doing very well.

Okay everybody I am out of here for the weekend. Keep a close eye on our babies. I will certainly be thinking about them this weekend. If anything happens, post it on the blog so I can read about it when I come back. Have a good weekend everybody and Happy Mother's Day!!
